@anaheim1rulez seriously... watch the story... then you will realize why people are so attached to it.. video game or not it gives a person chills like a deep cut into the spine.
I knew the band before the game, then i played MGS3 i loved it and i never expected this song on the game when the credits showed up... Tears started to fall down...
Hmm, I think movies, tv shows, and games are the best places to hear good music because most of what plays on the radio these days is garbage. I mean, where else can you find this unless you happen to stumble across it? The artist agrees to allow his song to be used in order to let people hear it anyway.
I hurt my eye so bad I have to wear n eyepatch and while i was in the hospital this song rang in my head and then I realised as I was walking out I was wearing the same coat Bi Bss wore in MGS4 so now I feel like I'm Big Boss
mgs3 was an awesome game it gave this great song alot of noteriety so please spare us of your childish ignorance it doesnt matter where people heard it
Because I do not blame any means of learning, learning a song from a game is not bad. Though! It would be better if there were more comments about the song than the video game when this specific video on youtube does not even mention anywhere about msg3. It is as simple as that. If the video was created honoring msg3 all these comments would be approprieate. But when the video is about the song ONLY then having so many comments about msg does not make sense.
This could be one of the best driving songs.....Visualize it....And, just keep on driving....Turn it up! Listen to the voice, piano, and drums...Hold it all in...And, drive some more................Damn, this is Good
late spring 2002 was one of the most difficult chapters in my life, and this is one song on this incredible album that probably saved my life.....It's gotta be true...I just typed it :)
I have never played MGS and I chose to buy this CD when it was originally released as I was going thru a divorce after being together almost 25yrs the pain in the songs helped me survive a bad time and I went to see them perform most of this album at Manchester Apollo on their first tour and I agree it does not matter how people come across a song they all have different meanings to us all, I just think the whole Debut CD was their best
Nine years ago this was the ALBUM!!!! I have to look back, and I have to see what I didn't get.....BUT, this was epic for me!! This saved my life!! And, you can quote me on that!!
@Mickillzall Crazy ass album for me........I remember waiting for the videos to show up......A calming presence to the MAX!!! I can honestly say this was one of my favorite albums of all time......And, I have to get it again...It's been out of my hands.....SO, when I get it, will it be what I thought it was ?
god sake i love how people hear it on a game and then think they like it lol some of us actually like this for it being its own song not off a crappy game grow up
What difference does it make where a person heard a song? And I like how you presume that a person doesn't genuinely like the track just because they first heard it in a video game. I hope you take your own advice one day and decide to grow up.
@anaheim1rulez I heard this from that "crappy game". Does that make me any different from someone who knew of it before? So long as it's liked, it doesn't matter where it's discovered; but whatever makes you feel original and "cool". =P
@anaheim1rulez: Yeah, I will admit, I heard this song for the first time playing MGS3, and that was back in 2004. Here we are in 2011, and because of that "crappy game", Starsailor has been, and continues to be, my favorite band. It was because of that "crappy game" that I was introduced to my favorite band. So kindly piss off, and grow up.
@anaheim1rulez I heard it in a game, but I liked the song. If it were a bad song, I wouldn't have liked it after hearing it in the game. That's like saying that because someone heard a song on a radio, they're really only fans of their radio, not the song itself. And obviously, that's just plain silly. :3
@NicoKenRawr That guy doesn't know what he's talking about eh? hehe, the uploader was right, he's the one who needs to grow up. That's the kind of comment i'd be making when I was fifteen. Anyways, man does this song ever take me back (AND YEAH, I HEARD IT IN THE MGS3 CREDITS. Deal with it anaheim1rulez.) =)
@anaheim1rulez You just called the one of the most emotional, saddening and interesting experiences in the media medium of gaming 'crappy'? Go fuck yourself you illiterate fool: the fact that you can think such bullshit is moronic - but aside from the you've never played the game so shut your silly little mouth!
@anaheim1rulez You need to shut your mouth. You've never even played MGS3, one of the best games ever, and you call it crappy? I'm not even so mad about you talking about how we don't like it if we heard it from the game. It's that you dare call that masterpiece of a game crappy. Please gtfo the internet and never comment again until you play the game, then you can judge it. I want to believe you were trolling but I know you're an idiot and you were serious. AGH *flips table*
@anaheim1rulez how do you think you like a song do you even think at all you need to take your own advice and grow up your self mate dont bitch cause nobody cares
@SHADOW5383 total BS its a train track it only goes in one way you can curve path but you'll end up going the same direction. once you take a certin path there isn't any way on attempting a different one
magnifique, j'ai finis un jeu nommé metal gear solid (un des volets qui se apssait dans la guerre froide) et finir avec cette musique, c'est tout simplement AWESOME
@stenmft21 Because the tracks are the path of Love sometimes you can see it clearly ahead above the sunset and other times the path is bumpy and curved and you dont know what may come next.
@anaheim1rulez seriously... watch the story... then you will realize why people are so attached to it.. video game or not it gives a person chills like a deep cut into the spine.

Why do entertainment studios want to paint Angels, and then pose them into Monsters?
They can't stop. They can almost never stop. This song bought us time, that's all.
Is it us they want to do more work? Against him? Let them have his cake. He will come back to us.

@anaheim1rulez To put it short.
You just said that if you hear a song through any means of advertising then you don't like it.
Performing a song is a form of advertising.
By your logic, listening to music means that we don't like it?
