They must be using acoustic strings, coz I'm using 56s for drop B and I think the low string is a bit too loose for my liking (56 is normally standard C# imo) - I like me strings thick but this is ridiculous lol

This is one of the heaviest songs Metallica has ever recorded in my opinion. Not every song has to have elite musicianship to be considered high quality. Parkway Drive and Underoath had fairly basic albums released recently, yet both were spectacular. Periphery and The Human Abstract had highly technical ones recently, and they were similarly excellent. Technicality isn't the only measure of quality, guys.

@JimX23 Dedicated fans don't care that much when a band's sound changes. Not every band can be like Motorhead or Judas Priest and keep the same sound over decades, and most understand that. Here's the thing though, they changed their sound roughly around black album to Load, right? and this has roughly the same style as Load and Re-load. But people Like a lot of tracks on Load and Reload. (King Nothing, Fuel, Fixxxer) yet most people don't like St. Anger BECAUSE IT SOUNDS BAD.

There are no lead breaks just a bunch of noisy garage band riffs. Ulrich's drums sound like they were played in the toilet, actually they were I think. And the lyrics were written on toilet paper so that the music industry could wipe their bums on them. OK, all bashing aside.... esp those blasted trash can drums, Metallica have produced some of the best metal in history - this aint it but Death Magnetic is absolutely wonderful!
