i just bought one of these they say you must charge it 24 hour for the first use is that true because i press the power button it show a full charge the green light, light up so long story short they recommend you to charge it up 24 hour for the first charge when it is brand new and i think mine already came fully charge but i already charging it so would it get damage ? thx
for about 100 dollars you can purchase a 12v solar electric fence charger...combine it with a couple of marine deep cycle batteries you should be able to have lights at night, charge up your laptop and other aux power. you could also hook the batteries up to a ac converter for a little ac power. I like the charge pack idea but how to recharge if you are without power makes it problematic.....
How large is the battery in that Stanley power pack?
I was wondering, because I saw that exact unit on sale at my local walmart for only $20. I have a few of these little 12 volt jumper packs, some have the inverter built in and some of them even have a solar panel. Most of my packs have 10 ah agm sla battery, but I have one that has a 7 ah battery. I mainly keep my packs to use instead of my generator in a short overnight power outage or at night when my generator is shut off for noise.
I got this one on clearance at Walmart for $18... not a bad price... As for the actual battery size, none of the documentation that I have says what size it is, but I'm guessing 7ah or less.
@Gorntz It comes with a DC charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter of my SUV... so yes, it can trickle charge off of 12 volt... Or you can keep it charged by AC (plug in the back)

@breezyage I'm sure you could rig up a cigarette light plug and charge it that way through the solar panel...
