Old School DEATH METAL with Black Thrash influence from the good days UPGRADED is the way to go i think. of course a mixture of both original sound of the kit itself with "some" triggers mixed into the final sounds very good also but ive heard drummer not use any triggers and sound just as great! its personal preferance...

instead of playing the triplets R-L-R-L-R-L, he plays them R-R-L-R-R-L. its just a double with the right foot and then a single stroke with the left after it. playing the triplets like that leaves lots of time for your left foot to get over to the high hat pedal in between. its a pretty sick exercise, a lot harder than it sounds or looks
