I'm not being funny but I always thought the universe is probably the smallest thing out there. 'Outside' the universe, once you pass its boundaries is something that is neither space or time. It's something we would never understand. But you could fit 100,000 billion billion universes into it. Well, it's only a thought.;)
BTW, the 96 lectures that Alex did for the teaching company are wonderfull, but there's also an older edition with the topics a liitle more condensed and less but longer lectures.
