  • Watching this again reminds me how bad ESPN's commentators are. Glad they finally decided to put AB back in the booth

  • how did he get back on all 4's when he was on his side?

  • I know that Dale Sr. died, but they retire his number from the sprint cup series except for Jr., but then they dont retire Kyle pettys, and Rustys?!?

  • i dont understand the car allmost goes on its roof but magicly goes on all 4 wheels

  • it sounds like they are commentating for a chess match...terrible

  • many people don't notice this about NASCAR, the flipping is accually somewhat good. It helps disapate the remaining energy in the car by parts flying off of it. But im still glad he wasn't hurt...

  • where did he get that hat? LOL

  • god those cars dont even look like NASCARs now. They now look like some foreign stockcars

  • All I heard at :41 was - "Oh, he's up town down." lol

  • Comment removed

  • it reminds me of McDowell at Texas

  • welcome to nascar boy...

  • "comeon comeon comeon comeon comeon comeon.;.......Come on..." hahaha

  • who else thinks the way he flipped looked like the Mcdowell texas flip?

  • wow espn didnt even seem 2 care at all about the wreck. there are fucked up bad at commentating for excitment

  • Yall ever notice a car spinning out at this track will always hit the wall onw way or another cuz they always go back up the track instead of back down

  • If Tony got Joey from the back it would create a bigger crash but will lessen the possibility of Joey flipping

  • @Walldude82 hahahaha i agree

  • That looks like Michael mcdowell's crash at texas 2008 when he was qualifying.

  • flip @ a short track = fail.

  • @maxddude havent u seen the couple of flips at bristol that happened a while back?? one car was actually barrel rolling about 4 times there

  • Ttnascarfan It was about the same exept he was driving the green interstate batteries toyota and he was flipping right next the the wall. But it was scary .

  • Dude. Joey Logano is my favorite driver and THANK GOD that he is okay.

  • same here

  • That was soooo scary! my eyes got watery, cuz it seem like forever for him to put the net down. so i got worried....very scary....

  • the first ever double file restart at dover and it ends with poor joey tumbling down the banking in turn 3. glad he's ok though

  • yep and when I saw it on TV, I did not see him walk away with a scratch on him

  • yeah that was a scary wreck

  • I know right

  • good thing the 19 year old is okay

  • DW and BP are the best commentators ever.

  • the whole wreck was partially Labonte's fault, but what made logano flip was when martin truex hit Sorenson

  • ESPN can't call a NASCAR race to save their lives.....Jerry Punch is such an idiot and is so monotone. He never gets excited when it's 3 wide or when it's two guys going for a win with 5 to go. Even here when somebody is flipping. ESPN needs to clean house and hire some commentators who can rival DW and the late BP. I seriously stop watching races as often as I do when ESPN switches coverage.

  • Benny Parson was my favorite announcer by far! He really entertained me every race

  • if you look at 3:05 after jory flips once reed hits him again. joey had a heck of a lot of momentum then and if reed didn't hit him at this point after he was already flipping, he would have flipped a whole lot more!

  • I been to every cup dover race since 1998, and man this was the craziest wreck i've seen live since tony stewarts 01 daytona flip. I never thought i'd see a tumble like this at dover. We was sittin right out of turn 4 as well right at carl edwards pit box section 117. Had a perfect view of the crash, it was wild man. Glad he was ok.

  • Almost like the 00 in Texas Qualyfing on 2008.

    00= 8 Flips

    20= 7 Flips

  • yeah thats what i first thought when i first saw this

  • Hey, Joey popped his cherry. Didn't take him that long either.

  • thank god for CoT's

Joey's young yet, but at least this is an experience that he'll never forget nor will he want to have happen again... thanks to the CoT's he was able to walk out of this unscathed

  • I said to my brother on the replay, "I bet you that they'll put their hands on their head!" And someone did! glad he was ok.

  • not nearly as bad as michael mcdowell's crash at texas.

  • anyone think that robby intentionally drove his car to the front of Joeys?

  • i think you mean bobby. i don't think it was intentional, he may have thought he was clear.

  • no at the end of the crash, Robby Gordon drove his car down the track and stopped it right in front of Joey's wrecked car

  • I believe Robby's car just coasted down the hill because of its banking, and just stopped in front of Joey's car. Robby's car probably gave up because of the damage he got from hitting Reed's car.

  • I agree.

  • no fire, that's amazing

  • The COT has a stronger fuel cell. A crash like this, the only fire I think might happen will be a small engine fire (like Michael McDowell's crash)

  • same with Edwards Fence ride at Dega

  • that flip could really have gotten ugly if he hadnt been hit again after he began to flip, if you notice, it starts to really go over then he gets bumped again and the car just sorta bounces down the banking

  • Gotta love double file restarts SHOOTOUT STYLE lmao. I'm glad Joey was ok. I'd rather see barrel rolls and tumbles instead of solid hits from other cars and the wall, not only for the excitement factor, but flipping is a lot safer because energy is distributed evenly throughout the car and not concentrated in one area, reducing the amount of energy transferred to the driver.

  • I was at that race too and I was at the exit of turn 4 and I was speechless.

b/c I had a dream of joey logano flipping just 2 nights before the race .

  • wow thats insane lol

  • was the dream exactly like the wreck??

  • I was at this a few hours ago. I was in turn 4 at the yellow line I was so glad joey was okay. I can still remember watching his car roll violently. Coolest thing I ever saw live.

  • lol

  • This was the first flip I saw live. It was Scary.

  • That wasn't scary at all. His hard hit into the wall was the scariest thing about the wreak. No fires, "softer" per say rolls compared to others this season alone. I'd say this is more of shock, this is the first flip in cup I've seen at Dover.

Glad too see Logano was fine.

  • I thought it was scary but I was happy to see him o.k.

  • Nah, soreenson slammed into driver side after flip, he landed on driver side a few times after the rolls

  • I love wrecks, but not these kind. I dont care if it was kyle Busch or Jeff Gordon, no one deserves to go through something like this.

  • I don't think Gordon has ever been on his roof in a stock car.

  • he has at daytona in the '90s

  • What series was it in?

  • Does anyone have that video anywhere?

  • if u search 1999 daytona 500 big one i think ull find it

  • That was Dale Jarrett that flipped in that wreck. One of the replays showed that Jeff Gordon was in front of the big one as it happened.

Not sure if this one counts, but he has flipped before. When he was a ride along in a rally car, the car crashed and flipped.

  • no, but he has been on his roof before

  • ya, but I still think that carl edwards was right, NASCAR is putting them in a box and they wont stop untill someone gets hurt.

  • whos makes the decision to get in the race car every sunday...it isnt nascar...

  • he did in 06 at dega, just look it up, busch series kyle busch flip

  • That Was A Scary Looking Accident!!!!! I'm Glad He Is O.K.!!!!!

  • Wow, next thing you know somebody will flip at Martinsville or Darlington. Really surprising to see someone flip at Dover. Glad to see Logano is okay, but I still can't believe that could happen at Dover!

  • glad he was ok

  • i just saw this wreck like 5 minutes ago when they were talking about stewart

and logano is one of my favorites

  • There was actually two flips at this race track. The last one is nothing compareded to this. Its funny I was sick in my bed watching the race and then when The car went over, I was out of my bed with my face planted on the tv in shock. i hope logano is ok.

  • th efirst flip in DOVERS history

  • There was a flip in the Busch, or Nationwide, series in 2005.

  • not the first flip here... i believe Donnie Neuenberger flipped in the Nationwide Series in '05 here too

  • and carl long in 04

  • that was at Rockingham bro

  • You're right.

And it was also the last time they, the Cup series, had a race there.

  • holy shit

  • awesome quality

  • Thanks

  • lol! who rolls at Dover?

  • ONE of the most epic crashes at dover...
