  • I work in a warehouse that throws away foodgrade 55 gallon drums are these ok or do i need a different grade of metal?

  • rods through fire box adjusts how much charcoal you put in. More charcoal longer cook time. Less charcoal shorter cook time.

  • can someone explain the rods stuck through the fire box on the drum smoker ? how does that contol cooking time ? i have a drum smoker and i just dont understand the concept . thanks

  • @bradshaweric well its not how i would have made it but the theory is no matter where you put the intake cold air will fall down the tube as the hot air rises out the top. but i dont understand the rods through the firebox to control cooking time ?

  • looks like it works to me....... smoking meat can be as complicated as you care to make it or as simple as you care to make it.........all you need is the right meat time and the right temp.............ive had great smoked meats off of all types smokers
