I've had it for 2 years now, got a nice bronze one. The main reason I bought it was it's a quadband GSM and dual band WCDMA. I need this as a european, living in the us. But the phone is not that good, Ive been putting up with the anomalies that have occurred frequently. The phone turns itself off! It freezes! It drops calls,, just starts humming and a call is lost! It gets hot after 4-5 minutes of talking.. The battery is weak too and it didn't come with a car charger :(

coz thats what I do and it doesnt freeze anymore and i can access my memory card again :P

it deppends on the type of the 2 mpix cam.. my mum has nokia 7373 it has 2mpix cam. and it gives very good pics even better that samsung u600 sometimes

This is the shitest Nokia ever made.. I have had 3 different one with one year. the phone freeze.. the key pad easy mash up. Is absolutely crap.. the first one was sent for repair 3 times. First with Nokia centre twice to Carphonewharehouse. If you live here in Uk don buy this Nokia.

Basicly 6500 has more functions, but as i read, you cant insert a memory card, and that sucks. A phone this good only with one GB ...

If you want to listen to music more then you should get the nokia 5310 but if you just want a nice simple slim phone then the nokia 6500 classic...ive got it and its pretty good so far, its up to you, but i would go for the nokia 6500 classic.

its been a month since i got this phone. its awsome, the main thing i love is the design, speaker is nice and loud with clear audio, camera is a litte weak tho, but the picture seems alright after i upload them to my PC.

however the battery sucks, if you use your phone a lot i dont recommend you buying this, but if spend roughly 3-4 hrs a day it can survive the whole day, just go home and charge it.

As much as I love the style of this phone...

It has non expandable memory and 2MP camera. Whereas the slide, admittidly uglier has expandable memory and a 3.2 MP camera with Carl Zeiss (Sp?) lense.

So the question...whether to but this and a digital camera, or just get the slide...
