This is a horrible testament to the horrid way that the Hollywood studio system treated it's actors like rubbish. Despite the huge cash they'd made for the industry, Legosi and Chaney were forced to indulge in this (albeit funny) derivitave, cheesy comedy due to poverty and their having been typecast and then rejected by the studios. Only Karloff kept his dignity - appearing in publicity but refusing the few hunded dollars acting fee to appear as Frankenstien's monster. For shame!
