NEVER... USC took a TO penalty for wearing their red home uniforms... By the rules, the away team MUST wear it's white uniform.

IMO - it was cool to see Pete Carroll take the penalty to do this. But as aBruin, there was a sense of disrespect for UCLA by ignoring the TO penalty- as if it didn't matter...

UCLA. But in football you only have 1 back in 1954. UCLA has a lot of national championships but most of them are in a lot of sports that aren't very popular. For example water polo, you don't hear anything on ESPN about winning a national title in the majority of sports UCLA wins in. So I don't think it is something to brag about to much. Well enjoy getting beat by a football team that sucks "grandma balls" and beats UCLA year in and year out and you are the only one to think of grandma balls.

First in national championships? Who cares! That's because those public schools get public money so that they can maintain their women's underwater-basket weaving programs. The private schools like SC have to actually WORK for their funding and don't have the luxury of participating in every lame sport out there. How is it that the "number 1 athletics program in the nation" has only one national title in the number one college sport??? (And I would even question the validity of that!)

UCLA was garbage in 2008 and they're my favorite college football team...it was a rebuilding year....i guarantee you they will be decent this year if they keep their players from getting injured and stay healthy.
