Hi there bodukescowgrl, I remember watching this video a few years ago and I thought it was awesome! I looked for it recently but I couldn't find it but now I have, I'm so excited. Love love this vid, and the song is awesome- i've been listening to reba mcentire's version recently. Jonathan Kent is the kinda guy I aspire to be when I reach his age.

The reason Jonathan Kent was killed off was because they were keeping it close to the true Superman story. If you watch the beginning of the very first Superman movie made with Christpher Reeve, Jonathan dies of a heart attack on the farm when Clark was a teen. Its a pivotol point in young Clark's life and therefore, it should be in Smallville. Don't get me wrong, I am as upset about him passing as anyone else, but still bravo to them for keeping it close to the Superman story

Oh yea I've seen the movie. But they aren't keeping it close to the story being with Lois coming into the story now meanwhile Clark didn't meet her until the daily planet. But the way I see it, is that if John wasn't taken off the show, then he wouldn't have made his new movie and I wouldn't have gotten the chance to talk to him on the phone.

LOL! I've spoken to him on the phone too!! lol :-p And yeah that's true, but technically, Chloe isn't meant to be there either. Smallville is its on show but trying to keep at least loose ties with the true Superman story.

@DukesFan01 The reason why Jonathan Kent was killed off and so soon was because John Schneider had some issues with the producers. It was too hard for him to live far away from his family. I just listened to an interview John did the other day and he doesn't even know why he was killed off the show. So I was like well then no wonder why I'm confused as to why they did it, the actor himself doesn't even know why lol.
