Fuck sake, overpopulation is gonna happen pretty soon thanks to those stupid bastards in the third world that dont care about the repercussions from their constant pointless coitus, therefore causing a child born out of pleasure as opposed to actually wanting to raise it, ending in charities making you feel guilty for your needs, yes well done for attracting hippies and the elderly.
I eat meat mostly hunted wild game and I plan to continue eating it.
Too many people having babies when they have no business doing so in their condition. They will drop like flies and there is nothing anyone can do for them now. I personally think it would be more humane to get rid of the starving masses who have no legitimacy in a world without the resources to feed them .Depopulation has a nasty tone about it ,but is far more humane than letting them starve to death.
4.45. yes. there is already an overpopulation. feeding this overpopulation will lead to an even greater population!! we need to stop asking 'how are we going to feed all these people?' and ask 'how are we going to stop producing all these people!?'
personally, propagating, storing and usage of seed is of utmost importance...for a settlement, country or a farmer. Bless you, this video is of my tribe...yeah, the same one you belong to...
wow, this is a great video, thank you so much! am still an omnivore (went vegetarian, then vegan, then back), but have not bought meat, eggs or dairy from the store in ages...if i dont know the cow, i dont drink the milk, and we hunt and fish....but we also give more than half of it away to neighbors...people are hungry all around.
Large corporate farms going to give up any price benefit, albeit few, to sell grains people can eat versus grains people will drive? They have a pretty rough road already and as DIY as i imagine, we are just going to have to drive differently and less... #ThinkTank #tc2010
dear darlingnose: if you feel a protien lull, try Nettles...cooked, pesto *raw...is 40% protien. dear camdengreen: can we get some recycled buckets and dirt, and maybe some beautiful black amaranth seed...(makes a lot of seeds!!) ...line the rooftops...water with collections from the rain? gosh, just an idea, but i cannot Not say anything... what are the laws about keeping birds or goats in the settled areas? or metro areas? (eggs, milk, cheese...)
I'm afraid of being called an idiot for this. But if you've read your photosynthesis cycle, you'll see why eating plants are much more worse. We need to plant more plants in order to produce more oxygen and less carbon dioxide.
Biofuels was a terrible idea from the beginning. The key to world hunger is to improve the infrastructure of "developing" countries I hope that all your money isn't going to warlords or Kalashnikov factories.
During our evolution, our brains did not start increasing in size until we became bipedal. Our ability to grasp and swing tools to kill other animals is what allowed our ancestors to evolve into us with our meat-supported brain. Meat is an essential part of a healthy diet.
The most prominent cause of food shortages is the initiation of violence (government). The food crisis is socially engineered. Don't give up eating brain-food like meat - fight the state that causes starvation.
just a few months out of date here... anyone checked grain prices recently? They have crashed with everything else. definitely no global shortage this year. markets are fickle, so are the participants (us!!) exciting times we live in.
Earlier years we used to feed the cows with alfalfa grass. When once it happened that grains were in surplus the just sell it to hearders. Then it become a "normal" practice.
In the early days, even pigs are fed with banana trunks. Which makes it even better meat. I think there is no contradiction if they go back to the old proven ways of meat farming. Only nowadays we hear that grains going to the meat farmers.
over the past year i've been slowly moving closer and closer to a vegan diet. right now i'm partially vegetarian. does that sound silly? at least i'm trying. it's so hard. my family just doesn't get it. i think i can go vegan when i move out in a year. i can't wait to have my own meat/sadness free kitchen!
peace
remember that change is the only constant thing in the world.
The future of humanity is rosy. Because in the 19th century, in a pest-infected dungeon and weighed down by heavy chains, a being has suffered what none has suffered. His name is Baha'u'llah. The Baha'i Teachings say that the food of the future will be fruit, grain, nuts, vegetables, herbs... to make it short it will be plant-based. So to me, the rising meat consumption is just a sign of a decadent world, which will be replaced by the kingdom of God on earth, ushered in by Baha'u'llah...
there is so much truth here its not funny. riots will get worse. people will do what they have to do to feed there familys. like it or not humans are animals.we have the basic instincts for food, fire, shelter, water, and warmth programed inside of us. when it comes down to it, those instincs will take over.
Please remember, if you eat meat you are condoning torture and slavery. If you were starving, and came across a wild cow, and killed and ate it to survive I would understand, but if you see what they are doing to these animals, and consider the old addage you are what you eat...No wonder so many Americans feel like worthless slaves at the end of the day.
If you are what you eat. Then we are everything isn't it? If you eat plant, then you're a plant? Your skin starts to photosysthesise absorbing carbon & release oxygen.??????? Think again
Actually yes, your body improves in getting energy from the sun, obviously you don't start getting chlorophyll in your skin, but your skin does already absorb energy from the sun, vitamin D. If you don't believe just eat meat then, its fine by me, the hormones they are pumping in there combined with the suffering the animal endures for it's life will all be passed to you... bon appetite!
Thank you so much for posting this. I hope someday more people will realize that every action we take DOES have terrible consequences to this planet and to others... to us all.
Q2. when will the world cancer reasearch tell us the truth, that its carbohydrate that gives you heart disease, obesity and diabeties?
A. never because they want you to be ill so they can sell you anti-cholesterol drugs, high cholesterol if you didn't know is actually a sign of good health, it is actually tri-glyceride that is linked to heart disease and your liver makes tri-glyceride when you eat carb funnily enought.
Wikipedia has an entry for CAFO (factory farming)! everyone should read it!
"CAFOs,According to the EPA:hog, chicken and cattle waste has polluted 35,000 miles of rivers in 22 states and contaminated groundwater in 17 states.Livestock waste - about 500 million tons of manure a year." Sierra Club. Not to mention the methane gas,CO2 pollution from food digestion-cow farts- who knew that caused global warming?
Where exactly is all the support for these statements? This appears to be the agenda of LiveVegan. When you make statements such as these you need to support your argument with straight facts. I am not saying your lying. I have always thought that facts need support. I still couldn't just eat veggies and rice. Its boring.
The West does not deserve more than anyone. However, unfortunately the world's current way of living is unsustainable. That is undeniable. Human population is already into overshoot and collapse. This is critical. The best way to address global warming and the world food crisis in a personal sense is to adopt a plant based diet. It's unfortunate that green groups continue to ignore the greatest contributing factor to global warming and the world food crisis - meat consumption.
Thanks for posting this camdengreen. Its the other inconvenient truth that Al Gore, governments and green groups ignore. Go vegan for all sentient beings and the environment.
are you prepared? I'm just starting to get non-perishable food, self-defense weapons, self powered generators, supplies. I want at least 6 months of food. I'm getting a food dehydrator and a vacuum sealer to put grain and other foods safetly away. This is a VERY scary situation. Most Americans don't look more than 2 feet in front of them, but I see the writing on the wall. The middle class is dying here, but in China theirs is growing. Pretty scary stuff!
The statement that it takes 10x more grain per pound of meat is flawed as well. Most cattle production is not fed on grain, but on grazing.
Grazing is usually done on land that cannot support staple crops.
There are many crops, such as legumes, that actually build up soil fertility and can be planted in semi-arid climates. But this is not done.
Corn is not a economical crop because it depletes soil fertility, and it water intensive. Many crops are too water intensive, alternatives are needed.
Grazing food animals on prairie land that is not suitable for growing crops might make some sense, though it too has its problems. But that is not what is happening in the United States. We have vast acreage in the Midwest and elsewhere planted in corn and soy beans that are used fed to cattle. In a world of food (and energy)shortages, that has many costly implications and unforeseen consequences for future generations as well as the people who are struggling to feed their families today.
honey, when was the last time you saw cows grazing? In the old days cows roamed freely across the prairie , yes. It was very charming and picturesque. Now, in modern times, we have "cow factories"! Yikes! I used to drive by one everyday on the way to work! It smells BAD! OH so bad! It's nasty! It's not healthy! They put growth hormones in the cows and we eat their flesh and drink their milk? therefore, consuming the growth hormones and antibiotics in excess of need!!!!! yikes! Google CAFO
droughts, but in Iowa where I live, we are getting waaaaaayyyy too much rain, screwing up the crop season (mostly corn) Notice how China and India have growing middle class and America has a dying middle class?
Yeah, and expect this to continue. We are entering a great depression soon. thank you for replying to my comment. I explain stuff like this in some of my vids
yeah right, easier said than done. The U.S. is soon to be a starving poor country. We're already in DEEP debt. urban sprawl, overpopulation, overspending, overconsumption, oil.
