@pacbiggiecom You may be right. According to the Bible also, knowledge of this law existed long before it was codified or written down by Moses into a "book" as well.
@pacbiggiecom Correct, no conclusive 100% proof, but there is much evidence to consider, namely a whole civilization for literally thousands of years rooted in the teaching they claim was handed down by God to Moses to them and then the writings as well seem to indicate authorship by Moses or at least a scribe of his.
I disagree with Romans 3:28 and it contradicts with James 2:14-17. Here, it states how our faith without our good works made nothing and becomes void.
If there is no Law, there is no sin, for sin is the transgression of the Law. - 1 John 3:4 Jesus did NOT come to undo the Law but to complete and fulfill It (Matt 5:17-20)
So why does Paul contradict Jesus' teachings so astonishingly? Jesus said the tree is known by its fruit and Revelation says blessed is he who DO the commandments.
There is no contradiction in Pauls' writings with the rest of the NT. We are completely justified by faith in Christ (beleiving, trusting and surrendering our lives to Him to do His will) justas we are. We are imperfect people and we will fall. The only thing that will save us is Christ and His righteousness attributed to us. Santification is the lifelong process of learning to obey God (not to be save, but because He has saved and justified us) and being transformed in His likeness.
If "works" could justify us, then we''d be like many other religions... "working" there way to get into heaven. When we come to Christ we are completely justified through faith in Him... good works is the natural fruit of trusting Him (obeying the 10 commandments, etc). We want to more and more as we continue to be transformed by the Word and Holy Spirit.
@Fetrovsky I think you're arguing semantics but I agree with you stated. true faith, faith that saves leads us to repentance and an acceptance of God's pardon, identification comes next which a life long learning to let God lead us to where He wants us to be.
As our Lord Christ walked the earth He kept all of God's Laws, because He loves His Father. And because of my love for God I too delight in His commands to me. Everyday as I wakeup, I ask my Father God to let His will be done in my life and not my will. I pray that God keep blessing you with His Wisdom and Understanding.
I will be blocking YOUR COMMENTS from now on preachhellsfire as a Christian would NOT try to belittle ANYONE. You give our Lord and Savior and Christendom a bad name with your accusations and condemning spirit. I shall pray for you.
No body asked you friend. And secondly, preacher needs to have more respect for people. Religion aside, NO SELF-RESPECTING person would listen to what he has to say the way he addresses people (see my comments page as well where I address both of you further). He needs to get some manners and reflect on Jesus more. fyi: people have "tried" to chop up sda beliefs and they all have failed. God Bless.
S lean os, You asked Mason Buster or should I say SDA Cult Buster to respond two several Inquiries then Block him. Do you have a Sinacle Sick Mind? Just to waste peoples time? I see you only let Possitive SDA Propaganda on your Channle. Afraid they will hear about E.G. Whites Lies?
Why don't u check a King James Version Bible buddy. That is what I use to study from and that is where these scriptural quotes on my videos are ALL pulled from. Before I became a sda Christian, I said if they cannot back their doctrines by a respected Christian Bible, I'll have not part of them. To my surprise EVERYTHING is backed fully and alone by scripture.
The scriptures quoted ARE from a King James Bible. The numbered quotatins are my own words. *sigh* It's no wonder u think we're a cult, seeing that u can't even double check and verify to see where these scriptures come from. King James cuts!
Gods commandments are heavens eternal code of conduct which stand forever" show me that statement in the king james bible. Looks like a E.G. White Lie statement to me. 1st The Law of the Old covenant had to be done away with for the entering in of a New Covenant. It was only our school master to lead us to Christ. We are "No long under the School Master. Your SDA Propaganda is Laced between each verse. Typical Cult Push the words of your Dead woman.
I'll create a video CLEARLY explaining the difference between the Old and New Covenants from the Bible alone. In short the 10 Commandments are at the heart of both, written in stone, then written in the heart. Old Cov. people obeyed in their own strength. New Covenant, we obey through DIVINE strength made possible ONLY through Jesus Christ. I'll let u know when it's up. Think about what u are saying if God's standards R NOT clearly revealed in the 10 commandments.
Did the 10 commandments originate on earth or directly from GOD Himself out of heaven? And the scripture I quoted from clearly says they stand fast forever and ever. I guess it's been a while since u looked at them huh?
" "I believe it is truth". There is no admission of being "wrong" in that statement..."
Of course there is no ADMISSION of being wrong, but the statement suggests the POSSIBILITY of being incorrect (at least that's the way I read it). In any event, what difference in meaning would you assign these two sentences:
"I believe it is truth"
"I KNOW it is truth"
Peace sleanos, I have no interest in "Christian bashing."
There is little difference between either statement when considered in the context below and with my videos. When a Christian states Christianity is true and fact, the skeptic/unbeliever finds fault. When the Christian, says I believe it is truth and take it on faith with the evidence to be a bit more tactful about their position, the skeptic/unbeliever STILL finds fault with those statements. Remarkable.
It doesn't seem remarkable to me, sleanos. Put yourself in the shoes of the skeptic/unbeliever:
Change Christian to Muslim and Christianity to Islam in your response to me. Wouldn't you find fault with those statements,or at least ask for clarification?
I understand where u are coming from. The difference here is I USED to be that skeptic/unbeliever until I studied all the evidence for Christianity and the claims of Christ in the Bible, along with comparative religion/history/science/etc. I can only state what I believe and why. I can't experience the investigative or conversion experience for u or anyone else. God Bless.
At least you admit you could be wrong. I have no problem with that. I'm against faith, not belief. Good luck finding answers. For me, I will look deeper than religion can offer.
You misunderstand. I KNOW it is truth and that there is a God and it is the Judeo-Christian God and Jesus Christ is the Son of God, GOd in the flesh. I merely posed it as a question for your sake to consider if you haven't already.
And u didn't read the sentence of my statement, instead choosing to quote me out of context. I clearly state, "I believe it is truth". There is no admission of being "wrong" in that statement friend. God bless.
It wasn't an insult. It's the truth, U made the arrogant statement assuming that I did not read ALL of the Bible, when in fact I have and in numerous translations numerous times. I hold no ill will towards U. Take my comment as a loving Christian rebuke, or not. God Bless.
No I'm telling u, it really was not an insult, I honestly thought ur comment was directed at me and the video I made (which is what u just stated). Now if u meant it to any viewers who happen to watch this, then that is different, and my apologies if this is who u meant to direct ur comment to. Otherwise my comments still stand.
Arrogance is thinking that you know what God wants and that you know which religious texts are the word of God and which aren't. You talk about the meaning of life with absolute certainty and you have the nerve to call others arrogant. You speak of pride while blind to your own hubris.
Friend, arrogance is built upon pompous assumptions. I've done quite a bit of study to be at ease with my personal convictions with Christianity to believe it is truth. People say Jesus is arrogant 4 saying He is the ONLY way to the Father. It isn't arrogant, if it is indeed truth. I believe it is and for many good reasons. I understand ur skeptism however.
I guess the fact that ANYONE can by the artwork from oxygen-multimedia DOT com has nothing to do with it. And we don't worship the same God. SDA's worship God as is in the Nicene Creed, 1 God is revealed in 3 co-eternal persons. JW do not. Please stop with the falsities and strawmen arguments.
sleanos, SDA and JW cults both demote Jesus to Micheal the Arch Angel, of the which scripture doesn't support! Both cults started by the same false prophecy! Both cults deny a eternal punishment of the wicked! Both of their founders are burning in HELL. They know they were wrong now!!!
1) SDA and JW DONOT see Jesus in the same manner. JW see Jesus as Michael, a created being. SDA's see Michael as a symbolic name for Jesus in heaven before the incarnation, but still as FULLY DIVINE & GOD, One with the Father and Holy Spirit. & I gotta disagree with u there, scripture fully supports our view regardless of what u believe.
I never said the Bible specifically identifies Michael as Jesus by name. The bible alludes to this through characteristics shared of both individuals. Regardless, it does not change the fact that Jesus is God, 1 with the Father, FULLY DIVINE, NEVER created. Read this and then let me know what you think: tinyurl DOT com/322onn
1. Jesus is God. - Good then we agree completely on this point.
2. Jesus is Michael the "archangel" pre-incarnate. NOT that He is a created angel or being as JW's see it. This has ALWAYS been a controversial topic in Christendom. Even the well respected commentator Matthew Henry believed Michael was Jesus. And Hebrews 1 DOES NOT shatter any "myth" regardless of what you believe. If it does, please explain to everyone on here how it does.
The Bible refers to Michael as "the archangel," a term meaning "chief angel." This combined with the term of archangel never being referred to as plural in the bible suggests that there is only ONE archangel and Jesus is linked with the archangel in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, which states: "The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel's voice..."
The Bible also refers to Michael as the leader of an army of Angels in Heaven who overthrew Satan in a great battle. Jesus is also spoken of as leading such an army and the Bible NEVER speaks of TWO armies of faithful angels in Heaven following TWO separate leaders.
You see "angel" in "archangel" and assume it ALWAYS means a created angelic being as JW's do as well. The term "angel" is also applied to the Lord as well which can simply mean, MESSENGER. When it is applied to the Lord, obviously it IS NOT saying He is a created being.
Gen 22:15 And "the angel of the LORD" called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
Gen 22:16 And said, "By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD", for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
In context there is ONLY 1 person speaking to Abraham and we know it is the Lord Himself, not a "created angel" , yet the title is applied to Him as "angel of the Lord".
I say this in love, but you guys REALLY should research before you go spreading lies. SDA and JW DONOT see Jesus as the same. SDA's see Jesus as the SON of GOD, fully human, yet FULLY DIVINE, ONE with the Father. JW see Jesus as a created being, son of God.
And I love how you guys twist the WORDS of EW: "The man Christ Jesus was not the Lord God Almighty, yet Christ and the Father are one."
EW was differentiatin between the Son of God and God the Father, yet in the quote you cite from you chop the last part where she says Christ and the Father are ONE. ONE God in 3 co-eternal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Or are you one of those "oneness" believers that think Jesus IS the Father and Holy Ghost as well?
My quote was 1 "The man Christ Jesus was not the Lord God Almighty" from ew 2 an sda quote saying i quoted them wrong was "The man Christ Jesus was not the Lord God Almighty"...can some one explain how i twisted words around cause if i did plz let me know.
It is twisted in interpretation and suggestive as U said that we see Jesus in the same light as JW when this is COMPLETELY FALSE, because as I said before you leave off the context of the quote and OMIT the other part of the quote where EW writes, ",YET THESE TWO ARE ONE" (speaking of God the Father and God the Son).
First of all Remember that the Word, was Made Flesh? So the word wasn't always flesh. Jesus wasn't always Human, he wasn't always Man. He has always been the Lord Almighty, but his Human Nature hasn't always been, hence "The Man.."The human Nature isn't the same as his divine Nature and neither is it God but only humann." Make Sense, because that same commentary calls Jesus God and Divine.
Your preaching to the choir buddy...if it wasn't for Jesus becoming flesh to die for our sins we'd all be hell bound. Only because His love for us He died on the cross and took our place. Remember God has never and will never send anyone to hell; He just honors our choice of choosing to reject Him.
of coutse not THE MAN THE MAN not the body but the SPIRIT within was devine im sure jesus THE MAN would have suffered a broken nail therefore the body could not have been PERFECT that is why THE MAN WAS NOT JESUS but the SPIRIT dwelling within was GOD.
Seriously, all I hear from you is BASHING and BASHING of other people's faiths with NO EXPLANATION from scripture to back up your stance. I really would like an answer to the statements I've made and clarification on MANY of the false accusations you've made. Happy Sabbath.
2) What false prophecy? Noone gave a prediction of their own, William Miller got the date correct, it was the event that was misunderstood. The apostles made the SAME mistake when Jesus came the first time, thinking He would come in great power. JW are the ones who have continually set dates, not sda's.
What mistake or false stuff are you possibly referring to? Please be specific so we can address it right here and now and see if what you say is true or false. 1 at a time please. I hear this all the time from people and when we study together, their mouths are stopped because they realize it was just THEIR misunderstanding.
3) Eternal punishment. Wrong. I won't speak for JW on this one, as for SDA's we DO believer in eternal punishment, which is different than what u believe which is eternal punishing. All the wicked will suffer according to what they have done and then they will die. Bible makes it clear, sin and sinners WILL NOT rise again after He makes the new earth and new heaven.
4) Noone is burning in HELL, because their is NO HELL as u believe, probably similar to what the Catholic church believes. Judgment day is when all will be resurrected to eternal life or to eternal damnation into the lake of fire to be punished and consumed according to works before dieing.
You REALLY need to study what different denominations believe and not just from what certain authors write, but really from their doctrinal studies. Your words will condemn u brother, so I hope you are 100% sure in EVERYTHING u are stating here, cuz already u've made FOUR fallacious statements.
sleanos, your the one that needs to study what other denominations teach. You think that every one that isn't in your little click believe what the Catholic cult teaches. Wrong! SDA's are just as bad as Catholics!!
You need to study what God's word say and not the words of you FALSE PROPHETESS teaches!
You really don't understand what the adventist movement believes if this is what you think. Keep making false claims if this makes u feel better though. We strongly believe in the Body of Christ made up of ALL TRUE believers across ALL denominations. Ur confusing the term "remnant church" with "true church" which IS the Body of Christ of ALL true biblical believers.

JW are the ones who have continually set dates, not sda's.

sleanos, EG White started making up stuff to cover her false prophecies!
Just because the disciples wanted Jesus to start his reign on earth, doesn't mean they made false prophecies!
Are you admitting that EG White made a mistake?

Your words will condemn u brother, so I hope you are 100% sure in EVERYTHING u are stating here, cuz already u've made FOUR fallacious statements.
sleanos 4 years ago
sleanos, your the one that needs to study what other denominations teach.

And please address EACH of the four points I made above on the four false claims you just made.
