This is a very precise rendition. Though I still can't help thinking it is not a very good piece.

I am gathering pieces to add to to the bonfire of history, and this piece would burn. Anyone got any more pieces to add to the pyre?

What a performance! But, a couple of oddities such as that starting at 2:57 where the flow is interrupted. If only Gavrilov has performance with this type of excitement and energy in some of the other concertos he recorded.

Not of this world! Gavrilov reminds us in a most stylish fashion that the piano is a percusion instrument and how wonderful this can be - and not only in Bartok.
