In the Bible many time when satan aka the devil is talked about they call him the prince of darkness and his demons as the dark ones. For they, none of them can dwell in the light. I love this song. Its one of those that bears the imprint of my soul. From voices to depression. Being chained to a dark place with a cry that just never seems to reach the surface. If they wrote this song to represent a dark past and mental illness..its a dead ringer. Word 4 word. But sometimes you cry out..the chains dont always break.

All of the misery we go through is because we live in a fallen world. We are sin sick. Without Christ, we are separated from God in our sin. You obviously have seen the damage this has done. You have experienced the pain. Christ died so that we could be reconciled to God. To set us free. THAT is why I say Praise God. Because HE set me free.
