  • Tom Felton is amazing here! You can see how upset he is about the death :/

  • When Snape said "Noo, he belong to the dark lord" & he doesn't want to fight Harry, cause he was trying to protect Harry.

  • D;

  • Ik i have all the movies. Ill look carefully

  • @MasterMatt286 If ur saying that cuz snape killed him, watch deathly hallows part2.

  • Yeah one question. What did dumbledore trust severous snape for?!?!?!?!

  • i died inside

  • Press 4, for the saddest moment. EVER.

  • Tom Felton absolutely kills it in this scene. great line delivery and emotion. it amazes me how good the cast was for all these films. it's one thing to have 3-4 great performances, but almost every freaking character was consistently great for all 8 films. amazing.

  • I Enjoy Death in HD

  • This scene makes less sense in the movie, when Harry isn't paralyzed by Dumbledore. Harry is known for trying to protect people he care about even when it's dangerous.

  • Watching this makes me want magic to exist so badly

  • God I feel so sorry for Draco... This is the one scene that always makes me cry, when everybody raises their wands but also when Draco is crying and says 'I have to kill you, or he'll kill me' :(

  • Someone knows how to start a huge bon fire

  • Fight back you coward

  • Dunno Bout Anyone Else But I Feel Sorry For Draco, He Obviously Dont Want To Be In That Situation, The part where he says 'I have to do this, i have to kill you, or he'll kill me' just gets me, obviously i feel for dumbledoor to xx my wand is raised

  • 0:42 if this homemade Dark Mark won't convince you...

  • 2:53 Severus, please (kill me, it's time)

  • this really the saddest moment ever.

I must cry. But I´m be glad, that is in the film so a short moment.

In the book is that more sad.

  • 4:17 Love Rickman's expression. You can just see the devastation on his face when Harry calls him a coward. Favorite scene in all of the films!

  • To me the last 3 are sad cause 4: Cedric dies. 5: Black (no offense to anyone) dies and 6: Albus dies.

  • Is it weird that whenever I'm home alone and watch this scene I grab my Harry Potter wand and raise it when it everyone else does?

  • I wonder how Hagrid felt about this .... Dumbledore was the only one who believed in him

  • Omg I just read the description before seeing the vid and I got teary already

  • *Raises Wand*

  • SO SAD I CRIED FOR DAYS

  • Years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices.

Am I the only one who thinks he was referring to snape, not voldemort?

  • @daleksvscybermen maybe he was referring to grindelwald!

  • Pretty ironic that Aberforth lived the longest out of all Dumbledores

  • I always cry, when I see this part. :'(

  • I remember when I read the book, I couldn't believe that he was dead, so I've read again, and I just though it was a joke. I mean it's Dumbledore. Then I realised he was dead, but I just couldn't believe it, actually, It's the death where I cried the most, and when I saw it it to the theater, I cried again, and again, from the moment Malfoy said : "Experliamus", I started crying. But there's something weird why is he moving while he's falling ? He shouldn't moving.

  • BELLATRIX IS A BITCH :@

  • When Dumbledore says ''Please'' he means ''Please...kill me..''

  • I liked this scene a lot both in the book and the movie, but the one thing that lessened the impact in the movie was Snape's calm demeanor as he told Harry that he was the Half-Blood Prince. In the book, Snape's face is masked in pain and utter resentment and screams. He never wanted to kill Dumbledore or join the Death Eaters. He only wanted what was best for Lily and now he wants to honor her memory in Harry, but Harry is the embodiment of everything Snape despised in James and loved in Lily.

  • @00silentgrenade00

You said it! (: And the battle scene between the Death Eaters and the Order is cut out! Hagrid's fight, and the intense scene after the battle are all cut out! They are important because they show how everyone is disbelief about Snape's betrayal and Dumbledore's death. I implore everyone to read the books, because they are amazing. Although I still love Alan Rickman (:

  • @GodsonJoseph17 I agree. Both about the fights left out and Alan's acting ability. You can't blame him for his lack of foresight though. His acting in Deathly Hallows Part 2 was truly impressive and very few actors have brought me to tears, especially in a crowded movie theater. If he doesn't get an Oscar for best supporting actor, then the world's made of mayonnaise.

  • Voldemort u fucking pussy u need people to kill the strongest wizard so u can kill harry u faggot

  • !SPOILER ALERT! For Everyone who thinks snape is bad i thought so too but if you look carefully Dumbledore says "Please" to Snape as in please kill me because snape is probably the "bravest man" as harry later descibes him and the most loyal. Dumbledore was going to become evil because of voldemort's ring so he asked snape to termiante his life before he did. The really sad part is that Harry doesn't realize this after poor poor snape the "bravest man" is dead i cried when dumbledoreAndSnapeDied

  • the saddest part of the series for me... it made me cry hard...first sirius then dumbledore...harry being left behind to fight for his own life...sniff...

  • A man who trusted you and killed him !!!

  • I feel kinda sorry for Draco when i saw this...

  • Saddest scene ever, especially when they all put up their wands. When I see Mrs. McGonnagal's face, I feel like I could burst into tears. You can obviously see tears streaming down her cheeks :(

  • @xLeMonNz It's impossible to apparate inside or outside Hogwarts Grounds.

  • @xLeMonNz im not sure of that, he said he intended for the elder wand to go to snape, i think in his weak state having drunk the potion, malfoy did take him completley by surprise, but luckily in the long run, this all worked in harry's favour

  • It's not often I cry so much during a scene...yet i remember watching this so many times. The sheer number of people who loved and respected Dumbledore was astounding. This captured the book perfectly and showed that the devastation left behind by his death was astounding.

The unity shown after his death however was simply amazing.. :)

  • belatrix doing de dark mark > YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • @sabinaathepanda Easy girl! You havent watched the last movie yet have you? You`ll be amazed to know that Snape is the greatest hero in the series. So much so that Harry named his son Albus Severus Potter :)

  • 4:02

  • i love Draco:)

  • i love Draco:)

  • I felt cheated when I watched this scene in the cinema:

I was waiting for the battle in the great hall and out into the grounds between the DA, the order of the phoenix and the aurors Vs the death eaters

and the film just totally skipped it :(

  • HE TRUSTED YOU SNAPE YOU SON OF A BITCH

  • Everything had been planned by Dumbledore very earlier.. From his wand (attacked by Draco) to the plan with Snape, he was Superb. If Dumbledore had destroyed the Ring without getting cursed, story would have been gone to another way..

A huge Salute to the MAN who sacrificed his Whole Life for the GREATER GOOD...

  • Actually I found Cedric's death more sad, but this one is really sad too :(

  • Oh god, when Harry screams "Snaaaaaape! He trusted you!" My heart dies.

  • snape is so brave.

  • What is the name of the score that plays at appx 3 minutes? Does anyone know, or where it might be found? It isn't "Dumbledore's Farewell" because I have the OST of Half-Blood Prince and this particular piece of music I am talking about does not appear on the CD.

  • @dmmontana690 They didn't release it :/

  • I always laugh at 4:15 - 4:19 but I dont know why! =D

  • my favorite part of hbp but still very upsetting

  • Ron was like wtf are they doing (raising wands up) oh yeah

  • RIP

  • Good evening, Bellatrix! :-)

  • <3 Bellatrix and her destroing of Hogwarts!! BEST!

  • harry have right snape is a coward and dumbledore trusten him!!!!!!

  • @jenfjordnicole7 Have you read all of the books or seen all the movies? If not, I woulden't go saying stuff like that.

  • @Galaxia135201 Agreee :D but thats the nice thing about movies like this they are full of surprises anyway its a very nice scene even though its sad ;/

    Harry potter fan <3

  • At 6:36, I thought that was McGonagall taking on responsibility as the new Headmistress, i guess it is in a way since she was the first to dismiss the dark mark

  • DON'T CALL SEVERUS SNAPE A COWARD!

  • Am i the only one who laughed when Dumbledore fell off of that tower like a lifeless doll? XD

  • on 4:16 die you facking idotn you killed dumbledore SECTUMSEMPRAAA!!!!

  • @galioenensikkels Have you read the book or watched all the movies ?

  • "after all this time" "always" said snape

  • The saddes moment ever ,I cried first time ,on some of the HP movies :'( the scene is magnificient ....

  • Not magnificent! Sad!! T_T

  • If Draco had killed Dumbledore, do you think Harry would kill him without hesitation?

  • @leauxbert

No, because he knew that if Draco had killed Dumbledore it was because he was the "chosen one" by Voldemort and not because of his will....Draco himself knew that killing Dumbledore was wrong.

I think that Harry would have understood....

  • It's so sad to hear Snape said Avada Kadva so hurt : (

  • I think I honestly know that Snape didn't want to kill Dumbledore. He did it for three things:

    - To give Dumbledore a quick death instead of letting the "ring curse" spread

    - To protect Draco Malfoy

    - To prove his loyalty to Voldemort

It explains this better in the last film. In this film, it only looks like he just wanted to, so I was just commenting this.

P.S. All Harry Potter films are good, this is one of the best.

  • @MinamuTV everything was part of dumbledores plan ,to let the draco defeat him ,snape kill him so it would look like he defeated him ,so the everyone think that the all mighty wand was Snapes and not Malfoys. So Harry would defeat Malfoy in the 7-1 part and in the end the Voldemor defeated him self cuz the all mighty wand supposed to be in a possesion of Harry and it didn't wanned to kill him :) ,everything is explained in the book :)

  • @MinamuTV "We both know that Lord Voldemort has ordered the Malfoy boy to murder me. But should he fail, we should presume the Dark Lord would turn to you. You must be the one to kill me Severus. It is the only way. Only then will the Dark Lord trust you completely." - Dumbledore (Deathly Hallows Part 2)

  • If you recall my friends, committing murder is one of the most heinous acts a wizard (and indeed regular human beings) can do, and according to Dumbledore himself - it damages the soul. Were Draco to murder the Headmaster, his soul would have been "ripped apart", as he said.

Snape on the other hand, performs a mercy kill by this, "helping an old man to avoid pain and humiliation".

  • When Harry used "Sectum Sempra", i would have surely Used Avada Kedavra, and thats the big difference between heroes and anti-heros...anti-heros suits me better :b

  • They suck for killing dombledore

  • I love this part, it's what made this movie good. "draco, years ago i knew a boy who made all the wrong choices, please let me help you"

"I don;t need your help, don't you understand, i haveto do this, i have to kill you...or he's gonna kill me..0.0" It's sad, poor draco didn't want to kill him =(

  • @Justinian43 yeah, that's messed up...imagine the story in draco's side...his family threatened...

  • Severus.....please.

  • 5:50 onwards...touching.

  • Fly you fools......

  • @retbookers NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • @KlaymenDel Epic reply!

  • @retbookers Epic comment in the first place ! =)

  • @KlaymenDel Thanks lol =D

  • How dare you use my own spells against me Potter, yes I am offered the half-prince!!!!!

  • the one dislike is harry potter

  • Drako needs to lay off the meth.

  • Unlike all of you I don't really care about dumbledore dying I would be jumping with bellatrix :p if I was in Harry potter I would want to be Narcissa Malfoy :D but If I couldn't be her I would make friends with Bella cissy Lucius and severus at hogwarts and become a death eater woth them :D

  • Hahahhahaha! good one snape! :D You killed dumbledork! lol

  • "snape he trusted you'

the way he said that broke my heart

  • @shanny1413 one of the most powerful lines in the films

  • always makes me cry

    love it

the music heightens the emotion ^^

  • Thumbs up if love when Bellatrix destroys everything *-*

  • That one dislike must be a death eater

  • @awpaila Why would a Death eater dislike this.... nice logic there mate.

  • @bombersrulz Oops! LOL silly me :3

  • i cant get over this the music is incredible and everytime everyone puts their wands up to block out the dark mark it gets me every single time

  • This is so sad...

  • hehe.. i know it's a terrible scene but the bird at 5:13 just cracks me up...

    every. single. time.

  • @RubberDuckHead its not a fucking bird, its snape.

  • 7:04 Hahahaha! - look at Hagrid - no wand, he uses his finger :D

  • @HaLLQJsA hmmm no Hagrid doesn't use his finger that is a student behind him with a wand

  • @HaLLQJsA : I think Hagrid uses his umbrella, which in truth is his wand, so therefore it isn't visible in the scene. Even though he was supposed to keep it as a secret that he still had his wand with him, I bet anyone would have done it anyways for Dumbledores sake :(

  • i've never read the books so when i saw this film, when Snape killed Dumbledore i couldn't believe my eyes, but suddenly it all started to make sense

  • 4:27 sometimes i just have to side with the fans of the book. Yates abridges key scenes to death. Snape vs Harry had much more depth with the context of Harry's lessons on summoning spells without saying them out loud and Snape giving him a hard time all year with it. Harry's obsessive desire to redeem the Half-blood prince coupled with the irony that he's the one person he most rather see dead than redeemed (which we know he gets both). Here its purely to remind the audience the movie's title.

  • ´´ Snape he trusted you!´´

  • it is dumbledore end

  • Snape betrayed Dumbledore? He killed Dumbledore.

  • @TheLatiosnlatias02 yup that was part of his masterful plan so that means he didn't betray him at all.

  • They've killed Voldemort's greatest enemy and yet Bellatrix is the only one who's gone frenzy.

  • Snape: "NO, He belongs to the Dark lord."

    Bellatrix' face; *Whatevuur...*

  • This made me cry..which in a way is really good because only a really good and extremely touching movie makes someone feel like this. R.I.P Albus Percivle Wolfric Brian Dumbledoor

  • voldemort disliked

  • "How dare you stand where he stood! TELL THEM HOW IT HAPPENED THAT NIGHT!! TELL THEM HOW YOU LOOKED HIM IN THE EYE, A MAN WHO TRUSTED YOU, AND KILLED HIM!! TELL THEM!!"

  • @ MusicDemon1001 i am sorry but its Tell Them WHAT Happemed That Night...no how it its WHAT Happened you get it?

  • Absolutly beautiful film making and storytelling. That's what Harry Potter is all about.

  • This scene always make me feel so bad for Draco </3

  • 3:10 it would be funny if the song changed to i had a bad day

  • 3:10 Draco's about to cry... :'(

  • 3:03 Snape's sad face. :((

  • who else gets goosebumps when harry shouts, "snape! he trusted you!"? i sure did...

  • @meganinjapillow I did :)).

  • omg, the weather outside is PERFECT for this scene... it makes me sad :(... and kinda happy cause its awesome

  • am i the only one who only saw bellatrix, fenrir, and the two carrows? i did not see yaxley, rowle, and gibbon there at all until later on... lol

  • @xKawaiiCrunchx Rowle is here with them, Gibbon should be dead before Dumbledore died.

  • what!? snape killed dumbledore!!!!

  • at the end, i was hoping he'd get back upand be like "OH HI GUYS THIS WAS JUST A JOKE IM BACK:D" but no...

  • I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter books, but even after finding out Snape's true allegiance, I still wasn't a huge fan of him. However, the movies have changed my mind about him, and now he is one of my favourites.

Clearly, this is because of Alan Rickman's interpretation of the character - he is portrayed as more tragic, more ... human.

  • Dumbledore actually made a plan telling snape when he must be killed

  • 2:12 im glad greyback gets at least one line in the movie series.

  • Actually, there is a big mistake in this scene. In the book, Malfoy disarmed Dumbledore and became master of Elder Wand, but here Dumbledore wilingly lets Malfoy disarm him, so Draco didnt defeated wand's last master. Great scene anyway.

  • @TheJustCreative That's what I thought as well, but I have noticed something. Dumbledore wasn't allowing Draco to disarm, he was "allowing" him to kill him because he knew he wouldn't be able to. Draco was merely being careful and disarmed him.

  • although this was very sad.

  • i disagree with the description. the story of snape and lily was so much sadder.

  • jbg.

  • 113 people hates Dumbledore :P

  • The scene in the courtyard with Dumbledore's body gets me every time. Just the music and the lack of speech and everything, so good.

  • Snape disliked this, and i really don't blame him!

  • 2:54 Severus, please (kill me now)

  • I may be being stupid here, but why didn't they go take Harry with them then, I understand why Snape didn't but why not Bellatrix or one of the death eaters, or would that've been too easy for Voldemort?

  • @xbrindle where would they take him to? and the death eaters listen to voldemort, if voldemort didnt say anything about bringing harry back on the way from killing dumbledore then they wont do it. of course, if he did say so, there wouldnt be no epic ending that ties everything together.

  • @xbrindle In the book, he was under the invisibility cloak with a paralysis charm cast by Dumbledore, so no one knew he was there.

  • @JamesMRusch Ah well that explains that then, before I sound like a lazy person that can't be bothered to read the books, I read them all except HBP.

  • By far my fav scene in the series which is saying a lot! The music especially ! When snape killed dumbledore I was like "WTF" lol.. And tom Felton crying.. inspired me to read the books. Never too late

  • 2:25 is a very important scene. It proves that Snape loved him and was looking after him.

  • I MUST have the song that played between 2:58 and 4:10. It's so simple, yet so beautiful!!! I know It's not 'the Death of Dumbledore' nor is it 'Dumbledore's Farewell'. It's right in between.

  • Thumbs up if you cried ):

  • What song is playing when they all lift their wands?! It's so beautiful

  • @VeronicaIzzard Its called "Dumbledores farewell" composed by Nicholas Hooper

  • I still don't understand...what spell did everyone use to get rid of the dark mark? I know they all did it together.

  • @kaizoisevil It is a non-verbal variation of the spell "Lumos Maxima." It is a more intense form the spell "Lumos" which is used throughout the books and movies. It is no surprise that every student was capable of casting this spell given its simple nature. It is one of the first spells that the students learn in Charms.

  • BELLATRIX IS AWESOME! How would Harry Potter movies be completed without her? Harry is so hot!!!!!!!!! And Draco :)

  • HAHAHAHAH! Dumbledore chunks EVERYWHERE!!!

  • look how sad draco looks whenn Bellatrix destroyed the great hall. ):

  • is it unfair how harry has to deal with sirius's death in the beginning then dumbledores death near the ending? and before sirius, it was diggory, then it was snape in the last film.. sigh.
