In a ford this could be a 352ci, 360ci, 390ci, 428ci, 429ci, or a 460ci. You do not know which motor is in this car or what modifications have been made. so think before you talk down to a guy who is just doing what he was paid to do...
@400hpchevy So you have a different way other than moving the dist.? I guess you chevy guys machine the timing mark on your dampner to move your timing.I've been building engines for 25yrs & on 1st start thats how i do it,after i get it idling on its own then i use the timing light for final setting.HOW DO YOU DO IT ?
this is embarasing for me a big block pushing only 390whp that any 5.0 can get it and im pushing on my 1996 mustang with a 460 big block bore 60 over 472ci and hes pushing 538whp 667ft with a fully built c6 and engine too
a little more cam wouldnt hurt lol nice car though... and adjusting timing with out a light is how i do it its about sound and feel with timing on a built engine

390whp ~ 450-470bhp. Thats poor tuning, especially if thats a 460.

Lol come on over to my page.. Stock DOVE heads going 520 Hp on the chassis dyno.. car goes 9.945@ 133mph with a spragless converter.

Yea ok. With a mild stock motor you can do it that. But a motor with some good compression you want to know the exact timing.
