A fully rifled 12 ga. using winchester BRI standard 2 3/4" sabot slugs is very accurate to 100 yards. Your "police shotgun" must have been a smooth bore.
@7x57mmMauser I once owned WInchester 12GA rifled barrel deer gun. And I liked Remington 2 3/4 sabot slug for it. That pair was 6 inch accuracy in 100 yards. My present Winchester Defender Police gun has a smooth bore and is good for bird or varmint hunting in short range. Thanks.
@jtdbs I have been hunting deer for 7 seasons. The first season I was not able to get a single deer with a police shot gun. The second season I changed my territory to 200 miles away from the city and changed the gun to a12GA slug gun with a scope. Then I got 20 deer. The 5th season I changed my gun to the .410 caliber bolt action slug gun and cnanged my life style to hunt 3 days a week at least. Since then I have been getting 50 deer every season. Thank you!
The salad also looks epic, i would try to improve the recipe with black marinated olives and maybe some sour cheese, both go great with mayo. Cut some roasted chicken breasts an its worthy of be main dish.
The steak itself is no comment - wild game meat, epic in any form.
I like the way you end your cooking videos with a drink and emmmmmmm. This ending is similar to an old american cooking show called "The Galloping Gourmet". Keep up the good work!
I just had deer slow roasted in the oven for four hours. It spent last night marinating in spices and oil. Also mashed potatoes with deer gravy. I agree. Better than anything I have had at a restaurant.
Now your video made me hungry again. everything looks so good :)
Oh - one thing I forgot to add. When you push the center of the patty like that, it prevents the middle from bulging up in the center when the patty contracts after cooking, therefore the patty stays fat after cooking. I think you need to arrange a deer trip in Japan for us - our deer season is too short and your deer are huge!
Thank you for the video - I have a suggestion - could you add the ingredients to the video description for those of us that want to try to cook these dishes as well? Thanks!
here in texas we put our deer meat in a icechest and let it sit in ice with some vineagar poured on the ice, let it sit until the water that drains from the chest is clear and the meat has virtually no game taste to it whatsoever, great vids, awesome knife reviews!.......平和アウト
Hmm interesting idea, making hamburgers from venison... Over here in Europe the only hamburgers we get are either pork, beef or mixed. Must try this sometime, it looks delicious!
Dear Sir, we prepare our Deer patties in much the same way, with the addition of 1/3 chorizo sausage (pork fat rules!) for a little spice and fat content. Best wishes to your beautiful family, and much luck with the hunts to come. Kindest regards
Health authorities who advocate limiting consumption of red meat are only talking about high cholesterol beef. I think eating a lot of lean venison can only have good health effects.
Your daughter will probably grow taller than her friends too.
Your wife prepares so beautifully. The salad looks great too :)

Hello Wako, greetings from Bulgaria. I've just seen this video
and I want to ask you if I can replace the deer meat with any other? What meat can you suggest? Which is closest as taste and flavour ?
Incubus89X 1 week ago
@Incubus89X My wife says she ever did the same thing with beef but the onion and the crumbs were half. Thanks.
virtuovice 1 week ago
@virtuovice I will try it. Thanks. Only one more thing. What are the spices that you use ?
Incubus89X 1 week ago
@Incubus89X It is the ready made hamburg spices. The main components will be nutmeg, black pepper, and salt I believe. Thanks.

@dahuang1 You know about cooking better than my wife! She explained me that she pushed the center in order to make the heat reach the core easily.
Anyways Japan government will never allow tourists to fire guns. So the tourism for deer hunting in Japan seems impossible. Thank you!

@SamEEE12 I don't have a mincer. I guess my wife will not love it because she loves easy cooking. Thank you!
