@1meansledpuller I just bought a home with 12 acres, relatively flat. Trying to decide over their ztrac 900 series mowers or getting the same machine you have? ANy recommendations ? Is it ok to cut with it weekly, or did you purchase yours for multi use features primarily? I would think loader and snow thrower and all other attachments would be pretty sweet. Just wondering quality and speed of cut mowing? Thanks!
@rpdranc I think it depends on what you will use it for. I bought mine because i use it with 4wd to mow my hillside. If you have 12 acres thats flat with not alot of obstacles then mine would work fine but my dad has a zero turn because he has alot of trees. I bought the 1026R because im a bigger guy and i wanted the nicer seat that slides and the tilt wheel for more leg room. The 1023E doesnt have the extras and its 23hp instead of 26
Checked out the 1023E yesterday at Atlantic Tractor in Hillsboro, MD. Jim Mitchell the salesman is very knowledgeable and worked up several quotes for me with two possible decks, prices for both loaders, etc. I am 90% sure that I am ordering mine soon. Only concern is the quoted 60 day delivery!
Too bad the 0% financing is only for 3 yrs., if you finance for 5 yrs. they add something like 3% on the price of the tractor! They do advertise 5 yrs. at 0% but don't tell you they add 3% on the selling price if you go 5 yrs. That's really crap, and false advertising in my opinion. It's a nice tractor though.
My local dealer called today and said that he just got a 1023E in. On my way in to look at it in the morning. If this machine is as solid as all the videos and preview info has been, I am putting down a deposit and placing my order before the month is out.
This kind of product I think is really what the tractor companies need to focus on. There are lots of homeowners who need something more than a lawnmower, but not a tractor that costs as much as a small car, and basically that's your choices right now. Except for someone like Kubota, the tractor companies don't have much to offer in that middle price range. Also, except for John Deere, the tractor companies don't even make riding mowers, after Case/IH sold off Cub Cadet to cheap maker MTD.
