Waw, right im not saying ur bad in any way that sounds perfect v nice man but ur right hand... its so weird... i usually play with my right hand quite curved and relaxed, but ur fingers look so straighhrt and solid.... hmm ..
@biglilnicky yeah well spotted... think it's bad technique from being self taught... but have flexible style so play differently for different genres or pieces...
If you tune to CGCFCE which is the tuning Nick used for this, and look up introduction tab nick drake in google you'll find in this tuning that the fingering could not be simpler. As with much of Nick drake's stuff it'as all in the right hand technique.
@StuartAnthony I learned the CGCFCE way first, but after hearing this version and after trying to get all the extra notes that are actually in the song, with the CGCFCE tuning I could not reach the notes. I'm sure that this version is the way nick played it. I have partially tabbed this version if anyone is interested?
Hats of to you Sebastian and thanks for sharing this.
Thankyou! That means a lot. I haven't learnt either of those yet, but I'll give it go when I have time. The next Nick is have planned is 'Cello Song. Check out my Road version if you're looking for more Nick.
Good Job mate!

what tuning is that song in? probably something very weird yet beautiful sounding right? haha good job with that song
holzy4565 4 years ago
Simply drop D, though I've always thought that is beautiful sounding in its own right.
musological 4 years ago
@holzy4565 Tuning is CGCFCE, capo 4. Fingerings are 1 or 2 fingers max. Easy to play.
