hi, this is really nice, i tried to do it but all i got is the nail polish drops in the middle of the water, they didnt spread, i tryed cold, hot and room temperature water but no luck, u r amazing making it look so easy, pls tell me what am i doing wrong, thank you
I never finish my nail polish before they go bad, so I don't mind using like half a bottle to do nail marbling. At least I get to use everything I paid for lol
hi... i have a few questions... were did u get that clear plastic nail and how much was it? how long does the nail last, like does it peel of or anything? and do you have any tips oon wat company of nailpolishes to use? thx :D and i love the design.
@MsSparkles21 try beauty nail supply stores or even wal mart. a box of 100 can be anywhere from $5 to $10 depending on the brand. if its sealed with a clear top coat it wont peel off and last several days. most brands work, just stay away from the fast drying ones
First, great water marbling tutorial! Second, what brand of nail polish are you using? Third, how do you make your acrylic nail stay onto your toothpick/skewer when you put it into the water?
this is awesome but how do you do a set you plan on putting on yourself?do you do all the prep work and then dip them? Once you dip them how does someone do a new design on a set they already have on-or can it be done?
Please use regular tap water at room temperature and the nail polish itself is important so experiment until you can find combinations that work together. Glitter polishes are tricky and the nail polishes must not be fast drying. For the natural nail please put Vaseline on your hands. Then wipe the nail clean with nail polish remover or alcohol. Then apply . The nail polish will attach to the finger as well so be ready with a cotton bud and nail polish remover to wipe it off. Google oceasia
What she dont answer the comments on here.. i have tried this and i could not get it to spread like that it dried to quick we managed to do some spreading but not much and we heated the water and used cheap nail polish what the heck does she use
I used the cheapest nailpolish I had and the quality was so bad I couldn't use it on my nails (to thin) but it worked great for marbling! :) I also had problems with the spreading, I think my water was too hot and it seemed to go better when I had used the water a few times. Good luck!
You are the best....I've never seen that before...thanks for your advice!!! You have the word "nail polish" in my language!!! wow!! KISSES FROM GREECE!!!
That's right. Thanks for your comment. Yes, you can dip your nails into the cup instead of using a temporary tip. Note how I clear the residue from the water surface before I pull out the nail. That is a key step in the process. Google search "oceasia" because I have a step-by-step on the site. Just look for "marbling" in the list of contents. Thanks
Thanks for adding your question. I use very cheap no frills nail polish. But that is not to say you can't use more expensive polish. It is just easier with the slow drying polish. Please google search "oceasia" and get some more details and photos on my marbling pages. Thanks
Yes you can do it on your natural nail. Just dip it straight in and be ready to clean off the residue that might stick to the finger. Have a cotton bud and nail polish remover ready to go.
Awesome as always i've posted a couple of questions on some of ur other videos and here's a few more ... If a client wants these obviously they have to be pre done before application right? and do u just use clear acrylic over the disign to apply? and lol sorry this is the last one. i would like to c a video with just the tip done and not the whole nail...if possible.... i would like to speak with u as well if that's possible let me know...Nailtechguru
Hi, if the client just wants the tips done then I recommend the above process. Then attach the tips and overlay. Now I used to make these for salons and I found that the nail techs that overlayed with gel seemed to have the best success. If I made them for acrylic application there was a bit more to the process. I had to do some serious top coat and finish with a rough top coat to eliminate the need to buff the shine of the nails. We used to do rough finished tips to eliminate buffing.
I have tried your technique i love the results and because i am adventerous i did a full set of acrylic tips they did turn out well and i added a gel over lay over the acrylic i would love to show u the finished product. is there anyway that we can speak?

Dip your nail in, clear out the extra nailpolish to keep from smudging, and put hand lotion around your nail to keep polish from sticking.
