Another "oom pa pa" song from the 70s - which seem to be the genre favoured for any easy point or two. Much like the "high-energy" 00's entries of today.
BTW the postcards, or lack of, were due to an industrial strike - the UK was bankrupt in 1977, and the place was a mess.
@MrEurocat According to a book about the history of Eurovision I have, this is the reason for the postcard-fuzz: " (...) Then Norway and Sweden objected to the video postcards that were shown before each performance - they'd been filmed at a nightclub a few days before the contest and the Norwegians felt it showed their young singer behaving badly. Shots of the audience replaced the rejected intermissions."
Fun and charming song; the orchestration does a lot for it, as does Anita. One can't help but feel annoyed at her, though, for inadvertently causing the show to not have any postcards, resulting in the many boring audience shots between songs.
A classic without a doubt! A cute, charming song, and Anita? Wonderfully charismatic and well-singing as always. The orchestra did a great job too! Lyrically it isn't that much to shout about, but it works. My largest problem with "Casanova" is the refrain; it goes something like this in my ears "For han er denstorecasaNOVAAA".
Didn't sound like the lyricist and the composer was good friends…
It was a terrible song!!!! Kirsti Sparboe and Benny should have won in Norway with "Sang" in 1977. That was much better, and they were alo better artists.
Hi from Iceland I hope someone here can help me. I have been looking for a few years of Eurovision on cd the years i am serching for are 1956 untill 1985. If someone wants to help me please feel free to contact me. Thank you
Nice!

A very cute entrry from our brethren in Norway. It could even have ended a bit higher up on the scoreboard, in my opinion.
