  • Who has seen the new Tron? I just realized that the Zeus guy is David Bowie.

  • Long Live Glam!!

  • ... a time machine will solve all of my problems. No more shitty music, no more economic depression, no more stupid fucking dumb-asses that are famous for nothing, and finally i get to live in the era of free love, disco, early rock and rock, and Afro's... (exhale) yeah

  • @xSOUNDWAVE56x Only problem it will solve is not having to hear people's opinions ad naseum (which is what the internet does) But you still had haters back then, there were MANY people who not only hated Bowie but also Disco. In fact if you liked rock 9 times out of ten you hated disco. Look up disco record burning, people still hate as much as they do now, just wasn't a constant flux of them complaining about it.

  • @FuzzyBunny28 thanks for the history lesson

  • AIN'T WE ALL, THE WOMEN ALWAYS did like him . lol catch audience .. well done Bowie, got a hand it too you, you always could sell a record :)

  • This song provides yet another reason why Bowie's genius is so expansive...

  • All Lifes Very Best All The Time.

  • This is art, not muzak

  • The magical master of imagery, poetic golden genius, where art thou.

  • why the fuck do people mention bieber all the time.

  • @TheMNRN1 It's the same shit all the fucking time, Justin Beaver or Lady Gaga. No matter the music on the flick, they'll always find a way to refer those losers. Sometimes this really pisses me off, haha!

  • Stupenda!

  • oh where have all justin bieber fans gone? are they heading to ...mars?

  • lets not even taint this david bowie video talking about all those awful people that are respresenting modern music today. I makes me sick

  • check out the rare bowie track 'african night flight' and enjoy!:D

  • 3 Justin Beiber fans watched this video

  • God, I love David Bowie. Why does Modern day music have to suck so bad? If they just learned a little something from the older artists listening to their shit would be so much easier, but no they choose to suck. Long live David Bowie!

  • So depressing for those raining days when the sky turns cloudy and the mind sets apart of my head

  • lkjasdkfljwilerjs this song gaves me eargasm! perfection! god oh why i born 40 years later x_x

  • BTW, I hate pop music of all kinds. VERY rarely, will something come around that is appealing to all people and of any significant quality. That's because honestly, most people are shallow emotionally, and therefore cannot appreciate the deeper flavours that are often present in less mainstream music. They also often simply want to be accepted rather than be original and themselves. So they play along. You really think a million people actually like Justin Beiber?

  • blah bla modern day music. yeah its shit, just ignore it don't eve ntalk about it. When we're forty odd we'll laugh at aussie idol, brit idol, american idol. we'll laugh at how bad it was. it'll come good surely. surely. David Bowie ... fucken genius

  • This would make a good theme for a TV show about a cop going back in time.

  • what an amazing songwriter and singer and performer Bowie is. I am falling in love with him all over again, In the 70s. Bowie ruled my world. Ziggy Stardust was the coolest. . THere is only one David Bowie.. A true Creative and Musical Genius.. Brillance and Beauty.. He is a such an Enchanting and Magical Creature. Its almost as if he really isnt from Planet Earth.but Mars. Yes if there is life on Mars you can bet David was their first born. Thanks for sharing your Ethereal Beauty and your soul.

  • SANTOS f.c tri campeão da américa K7

estica um pra nois comemorar david

  • mmmm..

it seems like the track run faster than its original speed!

I don't know why, but also david's voice is a bit faster and higher than normal.

  • I am soooo late! I never heard this before. In fact, the only David Bowie song I know is FAME! Guess I have some catching up to do!

  • CAN'T stop pressing the replay button

  • @vlnlcn

You can hear my way, because it's based on it... :) David bowie whished to sing the english remake but it has been given to sinitra, so he composed life on mars...

One of my favorite bowie song.

  • Qué canción más hermosa!!

  • Rick Wakeman plays piano on this....

  • La canzone-simbolo della fantascienza, uno dei più grandi capolavori della storia della musica. Bowie is a fantastic genius.

  • cette chanson me bouleverse tout simplement

  • elaborate music, nice nice nice

  • David Bowie had incredible androgynous beauty and was a pioneer of the sexually ambivalent and theatrical side of pop music. In comparison Jefree Star is just a low-rent tranny

  • @Riordan59 Hey you're doing great man. Praising someone for being sexually progressive, while at the same time using slurs against transexuals. :)

  • @Riordan59 That is to say, Fuck You.

  • @whutuppp Thank you for your eloquent comment on my posting. FYI, I have absolutely nothing against anybody with regard to race, creed, colour or sexual orientation. What does annoy me is talentless twerps hanging onto the coat tails of those who have something original and meaningful to offer. Mr Star (who's transvestitism does not make him a transexual) is one such person.

  • @Riordan59 Then why call him a tranny? Oh this person isn't black, so that means I can call him a nigger because I don't like him.

  • @whutuppp Your logic is unassailable. No, hang on, it isn't after all! Tranny is merely an abbreviation for transvestite and carries no freight where I come from, unlike the word you chose to use in relation to black people. I have a friend known to all as Frank the Frock (I'll leave you to work out his psycho-sexual proclivities). He refers to himself as a tranny and I have used the word frequently in conversation with him without engendering offence. You need to get out a bit more, Whutupp.

  • what albums this from?

  • Hes kind of like, a 70's-80's version of Jeffree Star almost. Except, he didn't sing about, glitter zombie hookers or whatever xD. and hes awesomeeeee.

  • @CamChaotic

...How can you even compare the two?

Jeffree Star is nothing compared to Bowie.

  • @CamChaotic They are so not alike, I actually have trouble linking the two together.

  • David Bowie scares me.

  • this sing makes me cry, :'-(

  • i dont think anything great has been written for like 20-30 years i mean you can say its not bad "but you know in your heart its really just shite" - sic boy 'trainspotting'

  • when I listen to this masterpiece it depresses me to think about what modern day music has come too, if it can be called music. this truly is a marvel and work of art, it makes me want to travel back to the 60's/70's where a real love for music flew threw the air, but I was born in 93 :'( I love you bowie!

  • @0FlyingSock0 well then just slit your wrists and jump off a bridge, on he other hand you COULD put an effort into looking left and right

  • @0FlyingSock0 Well if you were back before the 60's, 70's you would be listeing to what you thought was proper music. Like jazz and sonnets. People would of taking a hatred to this music as much as people disagree with the music today. Everything changes my friend, not everyone has to like it but everything will change. If things dont change nothing would evolve and wed be stuck in the dark ages..

P.s. what do you think mozart would think of this music??? doubt hed like it

  • @0FlyingSock0 i feel the same as u i soo wanna go bak nd live in the 70s it was the most amazingest years ever i was born in the wrong time

  • @0FlyingSock0

And yet, though born when you were, you still have been able to resist the blandishments of the commercial sewers. That you can recognize this - and other good music - for what it is must be recognized, and that gives me a smile.

  • @0FlyingSock0 People forget that for every david bowie there were 10 Debbie Boones or Andy Gibbs. I was lucky enought to get to speak to a Member of Garry Pucket and the Union Gap a few years ago. When i asked him what he thought about the statment "music fron the 60's and 70's is better than today's" he said that it made him sad that people don't take the time for find what is worth while now. There is as much tallent out there as there ever was, you just have to look for it.

  • @0FlyingSock0 and when i read comments like yours it depresses me to think that there're so closed minded people that think only music from 60/7o's music is good, anything else is crap, c'mon! let people listen to whatever they want , music nowadays is not bad, it's just that you don't like it, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't be called music, don't be so closed minded!

  • @0FlyingSock0 no offence but i hate it when people get all sentimental like this especially when they wernt even alive when the music came out. i agree with how amazing david is but its not like back then people all loved populair music. bad music DEFINATLY isnt a new thing and there are some encredibal artists still out there. theres no use living in the past when it comes to music, so try and find some new artists maybe even in a difernt style, because the old masters of music arnt coming back

  • @OwenVoseTV

Just shut up, who are you to tell me what I should/shouldn't listen to just because I was born after it came out? Who's going to listen to some dickhead who can't spell, anyway? Are you 12, or just mentally retarded?

  • @0FlyingSock0 you can still listen to the music today so i honestly dont see the problem

  • @0FlyingSock0 you wrote this two years ago. i am just reading it now. is it any less relevant? the music goes on as does the love of it. you are fortunate enough to have an opportunity to know this stuff exists. if you ever read this, i hope you continue your journey, and check out the likes of Roxxy Music/Brian Ferry, Brian Eno/David Byrne, Adrian Belew, Mel Collins, Robert Fripp and King Crimson, ELP, Yes, Iggy Popp/the psychedelic stooges, MC-5, UP!, Sun-Ra, America, The Band, Cat Stevens et!

  • THIS ... is what I call MUSIC! It cannot be replaced nor neglected not forgotten ever - It is THE musical masterwork of the entire 20:th Century! - Tobbe in Sweden -

  • totally agree with you

  • Thank You Oiwu, that was so kind, just imagine - if it was possible - to turn back time to the early 70's - to once again re-experience the so special music Era, the athmospere so very different from this lightweight one today - it's so sad the kids growing up now knows so little about the music of David Bowie of the Golden years! - Tobbe in Sweden -

  • WORD! Eller ORD! :) Bästa låten någonsn...!

  • Hej Hagge!

  • best song ever

  • @Valerian1 Well, it's the best Bowie song anyway. :)

  • great vid and great song
