  • Is this Terry Christian's twin brother??

  • Comment removed

  • That thing about mallards is actually true

  • @No9Nando That may be why he said it!;)

  • Why were the scientists indulging in homosexual necrophilia, and what made them want to film mallards while they were doing it?

  • @fragglet Horray!

  • @fragglet Haha, good one! You know these fettishists are like though, they get their kicks from the strangest of activities!;)

  • Ahh, i've heard better.

  • @Scwirul

    No.no you haven't.

    You merely didn't get it.

  • i burst out laughing when he said gang rape

  • hes up to number 12 now! the most under rated commedian of our time in my opinion

  • i agree bruce lee64. but what kind of twat calls himself brucelee64?are you a you tube ninja?

  • @martinkenny100 there was a game on the commodore 64 called Bruce Lee - maybe he is a fan

  • I love his standup but his Morgan freeman accent is horrible.

  • @quakingphear i dont think even Stew would claim it to be accurate; or even care

  • @12345l6789 Good point. It's probably funnier that way anyway.

  • Omgod. The stuff about the Mallards is true D:

  • probably the best comedian the UK ever produced

  • @bruceleeC64 he's the best I've seen live ! Saw him, Gervais and Izzard live on one week last year (sad but true!!!!) and Stewart Lee was the best by a mile - which is annoying as Eddie is usually fantastico :)

  • @bruceleeC64

The most truthful sentence ever written.

  • @bruceleeC64 What country isn't he better than the best stand-up of?

  • @owenhunt Wasnt comparing him to other countries

  • @bruceleeC64 Fair enough. The use of UK in the assertion seemed to deem your view of comedy as an international one.

I'm guessing your attitude to comedy is to enjoy rather than tally the quality of it. In which case you'd be wise. ;)

  • @owenhunt No prob, I just used UK as I'm not from there

  • a giant baby in space!

  • Saw him in Edinburgh last week, genius set with only one actual gag but non-stop laughter. Guided by Voices was playing before the show and I got my ticket signed. BAZINGA

  • he seems a little rushed and prefer the long slow build up.

  • Saw him live in Belfast this week, the guy is quite simply a genius!

  • Aye he was amazing, and spent about an hour afterwards signing everything. :)

  • Yeah, didn't think that would be his style but it was great, the dvds sold out pretty quickly but I got my ticket signed, it was nice to meet a comedy legend! He's a rather handsome chap in the flesh as well! :) Hope he comes back, he really does put all other comedians to shame.

  • Yeah and you could tell he was enjoying himself in such a big venue which was almost totally packed. Maybe he'll just give it to us straight...

  • too true

  • Perhaps you can't tell the difference between comedians.......and biologists.

  • i cant seen what i put down. people must not have liked it tho

  • he is the man

  • he's so awesome = ]

  • he's cool

  • shamedly, i have only just discovered Stewart Lee, made my day. Awesome comedian.

  • same here. ive ordered his two latest dvd cant wait!

  • Good to see he's reaching a new audience

  • Mr Lee! Mr Lee! Can Stewart come out play, please?

  • it takes balls to go out and do a long joke for an opener, especially when the punchline is "gang rape". Most comedians it's..good to be here or where you from baloney befire they even take the mic off it's stand.

  • He would appear to be performing live on stage in this clip and not doing so.

I think what you meant to say is that YOU don't find him funny, which is a subjective position.

  • LOL you idiot.

  • i've seen him physically remove someone from a gig for using their mobile. try defrosting that audience. actually, he did a pretty good job. he is ridiculously good at his job.

  • @mynamesdan, really? I can't imagine Stewart physically removing someone... Was the person texting or actually talking on the phone?

  • @MrCsharpMajor It was a weird gig, there were twelve people in the audience, including Stewart Lee. Tim Vine was on first and doing a great job at entertaining the other eleven of us- the MC had asked people to get their mates along because it was a charity gig and this one girl's phone went off, and she started whispering to her friend to come to the gig, which wouldn't have been such a problem if there had been more than ten of us and Stewart Lee in the audience. He grabbed her by the scruff.

  • @mynamesdan ...so what?

  • @jackjude so nothing. I was writing in response to a comment that disappeared in the last two years. So.. there.

  • Yeah, he's no Bernard Manning.

  • LordUmber - if that was an ironic comment- fair play

i wouldnt expect someone with 'AntiPC' in their name to be a big stewart lee fan

  • It's not often that subjective opinions can be deemed incorrect.

    However, you are incorrect.

  • @hypernation2007 lol - good call :) heh heh

  • Speaking as someone that has always been capable of enjoying Friends and Stewart Lee in tandem without fainting from cognitive-dissonance, I can't help but to wonder what Stewart himself would make of the overweening, sycophantic, coffee-table elitists parading their appreciation of his work as a pseudo-intellectual validation of their snobbish, bigoted, egregiously sophomoric, inexorably subjective and invariably half-witted opinions.

Perhaps I'll watch his next DVD and find out.

  • What a delightfully arrogant comment. Maybe you should watch the next Will Self DVD instead. Unless you're preoccupied, furiously masturbating in front of a mirror.

Which of these comments imply inexorably subjective and half-witted opinions? Aren't all opinions subjective? Pseudo-intellectuals? Odd, considering the reliance on crass language. The only snobbish comment in this list is yours.

Before you flaunt your finely tuned appreciation of comedy, perhaps you should read your own comment.

  • You've not encountered them, then? The 'I happen to like Stewart Lee ergo my opinion on comedy is somehow authoritative' brigade, citing their familiarity with the aforesaid in lieu of a cogent argument for *why* exactly Friends is incontrovertibly "shit" (because in reality their preferences are no less arbitrary than anyone else's), and fulminating with conceited rhetoric at the mere suggestion that one can appreciate both without forfeiting one's intellectual 'credentials'?

  • Yes, I have encountered them, but I think half of the people you are describing may simply be posting polarised retorts to those at the opposite end of the spectrum: the dim-witted folk who find Lee "boring", as suggested by several critics, simply because they don't understand the rather unconventional use of language and comic devices in his stand-up.

Aside from that, you are absolutely right; I detest anyone who claims to be above such programmes. Not because they are stating a conflicting..

  • ... opinion, but because of the little knowing smile that often accompanies it. They say more in that smug twitch of the lips, pitying laugh or eyebrow-arch than they ever could with words. On that note we are most certainly in harmony. It's hardly confined to comedy, or indeed Stewart Lee fans, either. Alas, it's an empathy deficiency in a 'perspective pandemic'.

  • (Apologies if I seemed to inveigh against contributors to this video; my remarks were intended as more of a general sentiment.)

  • However, if you were correct, I'm sure Stewart Lee would have a wry smile while perusing such proud affection. And congratulations on being able to enjoy Friends and Stewart Lee; an eclectic taste is a sign of genius in my opinion.

  • I think the crowd sucks in this

  • You should see where he mocks Scotland. Braveheart is a shambles, every Scottish person loves Shortbread. It's immense.

  • You can't even spell. He's earning much more money than you and he's a 'boring poff?' What does that make you?

  • No, but he is. You just can't understand him or comprehend the language that he uses.

  • You answer yourself. If you know he's a homosexual I don't want to ask you how but it obviously says a lot about you too.

  • You just run along and enjoy your Jim Davidson clips then.

  • did you want to hear sum knock knock jokes or sumting you wud be able to handle a bit better i know how you feel when people get on stage and tell good jokes that are a bit clever i get nose bleeds

  • You wouldn't make anyone's nose bleed. A person with a mentality like yours couldn't afford to go to a gig or festival. People like you are common, unemployed, sit on their arse all day and have a sweeping, generalised view shared by the rest of the human sheep.

  • What? You're fucking 21, dude. 21! Who mocks people in the old fashioned way, with a whiney voice, 'oooh sorry, sorry for insulting your boyfriend.' Grow up, fag.

  • Shut up you immature utter fucking wanker. Get a life, loser.

  • You sad pathetic loser.

  • You're a fag. End of.

  • Shut up queer.

  • Go away you fucking idiot.

  • I'm Scottish and i think his Braveheart bit is brilliant.

  • Brilliant Uatu and The Watchers reference there when nailing Stuart Maconie.

  • Owner/operator of an enchanted beanstalk! LOL

Tom O'Conner - laughing scouse groundhog with scurvey ROFLOL

Just so clever I love him.

Stewart Lee - not Tom O'Conner! LOL

  • i prefer the title 'i vomited into the gaping anus of christ' if you're familar with his work.

  • his morgan freeman impression is fantastic,

  • XD

    "...Indulging in homosexual necrophilia"

  • I'm not keen on all his work - e.g Springer the Opera - but as a comedian, his material and timing are exceptional.

  • Can't wait to see his new set on DVD

  • do you know when it was released or the title? thanks

  • it will be released 28th July and is called 41st best stand up or something similar. You can preorder off amazon.

  • thanks for the info, I appreciate it, I ve placed my order already and I cant wait to see it,- take care

  • living legend.
