  • Well...there goes 5 minutes and 46 seconds of my life that I won't ever get back.

  • wow. he cant tell ITS JUPITER!!!

  • That's Jupiter. You can see it's moons,

  • The nebula shall be named after you (:

  • Fuck I missed it

  • not a supernova......

  • Nice shot of the juvian system. In fact, everyone can walk outside today (jan 31) just after sunset, look straing up and see it for themselves. Sometimes ignorance is not so blissful but more like sad in your case.

  • and for all u dumbasses sayin its jupiter why dont u do your research this shit is real!!! its the clearst exploding star earth has seen in 40 years and nasa is doing research to distance the galaxie it exploded in

  • @916inmyblood you're so silly

  • why does uk get to see all the cool shit all the time america sucks wen it comes to amazing stuff happening in our skys

  • THATS JUPITER IF YOU DONT BELEIVE ME LOOK AT THE POSITION OF ITS MOONS THEN SEARCH ON GOOGL IMAGES OF JUPITER AND ITS MOONS

  • You must have been in that same galaxy to get a shot like this. How was the trip?

  • thats jupiter, you can see it's moons

  • thats is Jupiter..

  • yea i think this is jupiter or venus, idk the supernova that i saw or whatever it is that ive been watching for the past 2-3 months changes color and twinkles like crazy. colors like blue, purple, goldish yellow and green...

  • rarest event in history. Especially that close.

Thunderf00t made an awsome footage on it.

I watched his whole live vid of it.

  • I see two smaller moons

next to it, that means that could be jupiter not a super nova

  • @larful they could evan be stars far behind it as light is affected by gravity. fascinating stuff non the less.

  • i dont see anything different o.O

  • its ironic since the star really died several hundred or even thousand years ago. yet were just now seeing it.

  • what was this...? a planet dying? im asking bcs i really dont know..

  • @jorg428 A supernova is the death of a star (or sun).

  • @PinkYui16 so what was happening there was that a star was dying...?

  • @jorg428 Yes. When a star dies. It explodes; emitting a massive amount of radiation and energy.enough to destroy entire solar systems at that.

  • Great video! I saw it in Sept too but w/o a telescope and it still was impressive. Thank you!

  • I see an artificial moon used for saiyans...

  • *cries * this happened on my birthday and i didn't find out about it until then next day on yahoo!WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • This looks more like Jupiter to me - did I miss the super nova ? :-)

  • They actually said that the supernova got bright enough to be seen with just binoculars. I missed it and I knew nothing of it. That sux. Lol. Good video.

  • how does it look because its 2:20 am here in central california and i saw a star that is kinda blinking or something looks red and blue first i thot it was a plain but it never moved.

  • Yeah, that's Jupiter.

If you look close enough, you can see two of it's moons as well... Good quality though.

  • no it is a good video of Jupiter, remember they are using a48" telescope to show the supernova, check google sky maps and click on m101 or pinwheel.

  • go to how to find m101 supernova,by eyes on the sky, please.

  • pez230392--??really

  • Why am i looking at Jupiter?

  • @BeatBoxJua

    Are you mentally challenged?

  • @BeatBoxJua wow.

  • @BeatBoxJua only fags listen to prince

  • Yeh jupiter.., but still awesome !!!!

  • its not jupiter

  • DAMN! you can see jupiter and its moons from earth with just a regular camera? awesome

  • Yeah this is Jupiter

  • This is jupiter ! lol

  • where you on top of the building,or in the lot out back?

  • @knightstorm2010 I was just out on the backyard.

  • it is supernova... i made screenshots and they were amazing...

  • I didn't know supernova's had moons. Hahahaha #Jupiter

  • Das ist Jupiter. Man kann zwei seiner Monde auf 13 Uhr erkennen!

  • How can you see that when the moon is almost full?

  • @rich6955 What i used to film this was 2008 sony handicam(dcr-sr45.) And I'm pretty sure Nasa isn't wasting a great opportunity to shoot something that doesn't happen very often

  • it is jupiter, you can see the moons!!

  • @knightstorm2010 is jupiter that close? and the visible? wow, I feel so clueless.

  • @knightstorm2010 its not jupiter if it was jupiter we would all be dead ! the exploding supernova is an exploding star, which is a sun from another solar system if that was jupiter it would of meant that it was our sun exploding so we would be fucked in my opinion i think that there not moons you can see but the light from the supernova reflecting onto som of the planets in the solar system that star belonged too

  • cloudy here in the uk didnt get to see it *cry cry cry*

  • @ziggeh11 dont worry my friend im from the uk and i missed it. But there have another type 1a today!! in the pinwheel galaxy called SN 2011fe. :)
