You are welcome. I just want to let you know that I study from YouTube videos. I did not have an account, but felt compelled to create one just to commend you on your great work. Understand that you are effectively teaching many people out there! Your presentation is wonderful and your teaching method is complete. I have issues with how people teach. Your video goes to the heart of how an instructor should teach. I will definitely search for your additional videos. Thank you for your hard work!
@NYOrthoRN — My, you made my day! I too have issues after suffering through six semesters of graduate nursing school—long before computer slide, audiovisuals. But even with Powerpoint (Mac/Keynote) slides I find that most presentations fail to keep my attention; so I stopped going to conferences! To keep up with continuing education, I teach—on subjects that interest me or topics with which I wish to learn. Others may benefit and I am grateful if they do, but I'm the big winner. veryWest
This video is very informative. Thank you for creating such an in-depth and creative video that fully teaches a person about these orthopaedic conditions!
@NYOrthoRN — WOW! Thanks for your kind comments. I am adjunct faculty at Texas Tech in Lubbock and created this video for my annual Hand & Foot lecture that I present for the NP students, it's about SIX hours long! This video is just one of five that I present. You can download more information off of my website (see above) I use to work in a state prison and collected ten years worth of clinical photographs from my experience. veryWest
@vangsta1997 — Frist, my apologies not not having answered your question sooner; I just noticed it. Treatment depends on the cause of the Swan Neck; most often it's due to chronic inflammation. In that case I know of no effective treatment. Acute causes may include a dorsal dislocation of the proximal joint. This injury in turns damages the volar plate. Treat this by splinting with dorsal block splint after reducing the dislocation. Thank you. veryWest
I have all of these
