@mintyvision We don't use the word 'learnt', that's a British variant. As far as not doing particularly well in WW2you might be embarrassing yourself, as the Brits did far less than their American counterparts. I don't remember any of you 'saving our asses' in the ME; sending 4 or 5 troops to Afghanistan is not 'saving our asses'. There was no slaughter in Vietnam either, we all but won that war if it were not for hippies demoralizing the country and forcing a political withdrawal.

@mintyvision We lost in Vietnam because of political tension at home in America. We asked for help in the middle east because Muslim extremism is a global issue. America saved Europe's ass in WW2 and any comment contrary to this fact is plain ignorant. As a US Marine I would also like to point out that the British have very few troops on the ground compared to us Americans. I would also like to point out that the Brits are only in the safer zones in that country. In my opinion its cowardice.
