I know it, what we said that day, Are you under, does it matter anyway. You told me, what you said is true, Does it all mean waitin' gone alone and blue.
Remember Paul and Nicolas the song was started in 1976 and finished in 2001. It was engineered and mixed by Marc Mann & Ryan Ulyate. Their techniques would very different than what Mack used in the 70's at Musicland Studios in Germany at the time. I have experimented extensively on the Middle - Side matrix for over 20 years with pseudo stereo, pseudo surround and 3 D Holography and in most cases the lead vocal can be removed with the remixing of the M - S matrix.
I heard that Jeff Lynne made this song in 1976 for a movie. But the movie was never finished so this song remained unreleased until in A New World Record remastered.
Totally agree with you Paul. I think this song was from the Zoom album session. If you try the "Out Of Phase Stereo", you obtain the same result with "Zoom": the voice is deleted. But you can do that with "A New World Record". "Surrender" sounds very recent. And it's one of worst song of Jeff Lynne. I hate that song. "Latitude 88 North" is recent too but it's a beautiful song.
1:15 - The DEFINITIVE line-up of ELO, any other permatation is NOT ELO. And this isn't an outtake from A New World Record, this is Jeff Lynne playing everything again and selling it off as an 'outtake'.
Baby, can you hear me call, Is it alright, now your back's against the wall. And baby, is it still the same, Do you wonder, is it on and back again.
CHORUS: Surrender, baby surrender, Surrender, baby surrender.
I know it, what we said that day, Are you under, does it matter anyway. You told me, what you said is true, Does it all mean waitin' gone alone and blue.
CHORUS: Surrender, baby surrender, Surrender, baby surrender Surrender, baby surrender, Surrender, baby surrender
Baby, Can you hea
