Ireally missed Sharapova at Doha - I think she, not Safina is the true leader of the Russian womens contingent. She has changed since her "broken wing" operation - and become the stern angel reaper of the whole sport. The others, including Fed & Serena, act like clowns in comparison.
The Williams sisters today? Knock-out battle! But still there seems to be something missing in Doha among the so-called "top players". Maybe with Zonarava now in it will catch some spirit. Moscow was friendly & fun which is alot these days. Too many big names missing from Doha. Woman's tennis is exciting because it is NOT about the money - but more hugs & kisses after great battles!
Serena and Venus are my 2 favourite players, but that match was really not that good until 5-6 in the 3rd. Then it was amazing. Wish they could have kept up that level throughout the whole match. This year has just been a total shambles, not helped by WTA's stupid scheduling. A fit and healthy Serena, Venus, Clijsters, Sharapova and Henin next year please.

What a rubbish tournament it was. Congrats WTA on your horrendous scheduling, meaning that barely any top players bothered with Moscow. :)
