Looks like they F'd up the message center! Wonder if it's a GLITCH (where have i heard that before?) or Censorship forcing communications to be done in the videos page!

With all the other extreme censorship going on everywhere else, it's pretty normal to believe. How many times now have wee seen where certain words & phrases won't 'take' in the comments?

Funny how bigtime journalists and stock people can tell huge colorful lies or omit major facts in giant publications, but we aren't allowed to tell the plain truth in tiny paragraphs all too often.

Prior to me listing the Golden Gate Bridge as an auction item, I thought ebay

and paypal were real companies. Like a fool I gave them my debit card account number. I got an email from paypal that my debit card was about to expire and they wanted me to "surrender" my new number to their trustworthy establishment. I never gave it to them. Now I get an email from them that I have limited use of the account because

a third party tried to access my account.

Wow! Sorry to hear that. There are only a couple plausible explanations as we all know well. I think you know what mine is. I think we could all guess what ebaY's is; Blame the user!

To see payPal's explanation of how accounts are being compromised, search & read "eBay: no idea how account was compromised" by Angus Kidman 30 April 2008.

Just do whatever you need to to make sure they can't access your funds in any way. Make sure you close or change the accounts etc. Then close PP & eb

This whole surge bullshit is just a way for ebay to get some kind of attention . The talk is about walmart and amazon competing with each other this hiliday season. There was no mention of ebay.

If someone pays for a service and the transaction is not complete,then I totaly agree that they should get a full refund.

People need to keep in mind if they suspect and have good faith reason to believe anything like cooking the books, or deliberately issuing false or misleading statements designed to deceive the investors, complain to appropriate agencies.

Ebay said they would credit those that lost due to their malfunction. Sure they will. They figured it would make a nice press release and advertise that they are 200 million strong just to sucker people in for the holidays. Press release distribution only cost $600.00

I feel as though affected members should be able to choose refund instead. (which is not the same as "credit" )

Due to trust and reliability concerns, many folks no longer wish to conduct biz of any type there.

Compelling members to continue using the site to recoup losses or claim compensation due may not be legal or lawful.

People with similar concerns, if denied actual refund, should file complaints with the appropriate agencies.

Internal hackers are a real problem and a serious threat. To millions in this case.
