Whew. Just listened to the studio version. NOW I understand what he meant by adding an electro-rock sound! The live and the studio sound really different, probably tailoring the music to fit the setting. Really like the studio version (I could dance to it)...but loved seeing Adam do his thing in the live ;D

Ha - if "anyone" could do what he's doing, everyone would be doing it. He's got a helluva voice, and has learned how to use it. As it is, he's the only "breakout" performer so far on AI this season. You only have to look at the YouTube stats to know that - he's got more views than the rest of the field combined.
There are some good singers there - they just haven't hit one out of the park yet. He's memorable, and that's rare by itself.
If he's not so good, wonder why Simon (who's JOB it is to find the BEST talent) and Smokey Robinson gave Adam (and ONLY Adam) a standing ovation. Pretty sure those guys know a thing or two about music and the industry. Adam breathes LIFE into an otherwise dull, dreary, mellow show, filled with copy-cat ballads week after week after week.

Ha - if "anyone" could do what he's doing, everyone would be doing it. He's got a helluva voice, and has learned how to use it. As it is, he's the only "breakout" performer so far on AI this season. You only have to look at the YouTube stats to know that - he's got more views than the rest of the field combined.
There are some good singers there - they just haven't hit one out of the park yet. He's memorable, and that's rare by itself.

If he's not so good, wonder why Simon (who's JOB it is to find the BEST talent) and Smokey Robinson gave Adam (and ONLY Adam) a standing ovation. Pretty sure those guys know a thing or two about music and the industry. Adam breathes LIFE into an otherwise dull, dreary, mellow show, filled with copy-cat ballads week after week after week.

He just annoys me. He knows he has this competition in the bag, and he comes out with these over the top performances, I don't understand why people praise him. He has a nice range and is fruity, get any openly gay man on a stage and you will see a performance. This is nothing more than a vegas act. I just don't see what all the hype is about, he's not that great.
