i just moved and now i live literally about 1/4 mile away from the public access, hopefully the information i found on a website is true and they really do have yellow perch, black crappie, brown bullhead catfish, largemouth bass, and stocked rainbows :D
hm.. i've driven by that lake before but wasn't sure if there was any public access.. but using google maps i found that they have one small public dock.. you wouldn't by chance know if the fishing is decent off of that dock would you?
@FishingThePNW I haven't spent any time fishing it from the dock and just a little from the shore. In my experience it is better from a boat, but I have seen the people on the shore limit out after they stock the lake in the Spring.
LOL both of you had bad day. Do you fish with barbles hooks? something my dad made me do saying it is more sporty for the fish, but after seeing you 2 stick yourselves maybe it was for me, or dad not having to do the dirty deed. All in all yall have brought back a history of fishing with a line, lure, and no rode. Not many have done that. Screw the promoters and keep it up guys :)
For lakes like this, I really like dragging around small solid body floating or suspending plugs. I suppose I should match the color to the weather conditions, but a firetiger pattern has always performed well for me no matter what the day was like.
all the fish are planted you moron,

Yeah, Long Lake is a pretty nice lake. The only good lakes over there are Long Lake and Kitsap Lake. I fish Kitsap Lake alot.

Have you fished Long Lake over in Port Orchard?
corvetteguy1980 3 years ago
Nope we haven't fished that one yet. Should we?

In response to what were we using, I prefer a little floating or suspending Rapala plug. Seems to work the best for me.
