Pretty sure a shot at under 100 meters is not a 'sniper shot' you may have used a high powered rifle designed for high accuracy at extreme ranges, but seriously? That wasn't fake. It was a low pressured (close to empty) propane tank and if you look at the area where the tank was, there are some Tiki Torches or something on fire in at least 2 places to ignite the LP. I have shot a few LP tanks in my lifetime and to penetrate the hoop stress of a full tank the size of a family grille, a .223 requires an armor piercing round. I used armor incendiaries before, but you still have to use an external fire source to ignite. This video is legit.

Yes, from physics and chemistry (I'm a graduating Engineer with quite a bit of life experience at 34 years old) you will find that an incendiary round does burn with enough heat to ignite the LP, but there is no oxygen in the bullet path with the initial shot. The LP must expand and mix with oxygen in order to achieve combustion. I have incendiary rounds and have tried this on multiple occasions with failure..only when we put the LP tank near a fire did we get the mushroom cloud

I have a bunch of problems with this video. 1. Not a sniper, rednecks wherever with a ".50 caliber gun" aren't snipers. 2. Unless your using multiple rounds or incinderary (sorry don't know how to spell that) it most likley won't explode. It would put a hole in it and then it would start to fly off in some direction. 3. at that range it just ruins the whole thing. 100 ft or so makes you look like a terrible shot.

The flame is just to ignite the fumes after they shoot the tank just in case. I wouldn't wanna be around when a full tank of propane explodes when the wind is blowing towards me. ive shot into bbq propane tanks at a plinking range with an ar15 just regular 65 grain bullets set those things off like a hollywood car explosion. an oxygen tank would prolly be pretty fun to shoot at i think.
