Neat, had to try doing it myself. Got it working but my steel balls are bouncing a bit erratically. Not sure why. Neat test though. Inventor physics is so easy to get working. Its silly. Thanks for the idea to try it. =) Cant wait to show some friends.

i did this in 5th grade science fair and won 1st place, but instead i did it with a row of pennies, and i had to flick one (That wasnt connected to the row) and when it hit the row of pennies, only the end one moved. and i explained all the laws of inertia, and kinetic energy etc etc. and was still only in 5th grade :P

they move in pairs... when the first ball hits the main group, there is start of the last ball on the other side. After that, the second hits the non-moving part of the group and the another end-ball staying starts to move and hits the ball which is already in the air with increased speed.

i didnt "program" then to do. it should be real, because its dynamic simulation. I just pulled the first ball. Rest is computer simulation.
