So, even though there were numerous arrests and work between our government and other governments you say there is no proof?
What source do you have to refute the governments reports?
Well you are lucky that to live in a country that protects you, that our military and governmental agencies are keeping you safe, so you can sit on your hind side spewing about the liberties, having more liberties than you would in any other country in the world, that you have done nothing to earn.
McCain, being a 'man of honor' would not stoop to negative attack ads. However the blizzard of attack ads put forth in recent days shows a calculated strategy to distort facts, distract the public with falsehoods and play to that 'lowest common denominator' lurking inside of us all.
For example he has repeatedly lied about Obama's lipstick remark. He wildly distorted Obama's position on 'sex education' and he continues to lie about Palin's role in the "Bridge to nowhere matter"
I agree with the last part but the first part I TOTALLY disagree with. John McCain is NO LONGER a man of honor. Now, he just runs as one! You see, it's the old "switcharoo." That Man of Honor?..."THEN" you saw him, "NOW" you won't.
I do not know HOW can these people - Republicans currently in power - ASSUME that somehow just because a terrorist attack happened under THEIR watch that they are the best people for protecting the American people.
It happened under Bush's watch because Clinton didn't take Bin Laden when he was offered to him, and because Clinton's administration passed law that did not allow branches of government (ie: CIA FBI) to communicate and share information.
What the fuck are you talking about. Where do you republicans come up with these lies? After the Embassy bombings in kenya, it was clinton who ordered a world wide search for the perpetrators. At that time, they just didnt know Bin Laden was connected to the whole thing. That was recently discovered. And the Bill he passed was ment to protect peoples privacy. What did it have to do with agencies not being able to co-ordinate? stop making up stuff.
Clearly you are confused, check your facts. Clinton was offered Bin Laden by Sudan in 1996and turned down that offer saying he had no basis to hold him, when, in fact Bin Laden had been connected to the first world trade center attack.
Obviously you are confused, recently discovered, are you kidding me! Educate yourself, then you may come out and play with the adults.
The bill that was passed kept agencies such as FBI and CIA from sharing information. Information that could have saved thousands of lives. "Protecting" the "privacy" of terrorists is not what law enforcement agencies do; well under Clinton, but not anymore, they share information.
Clinton was offered Bin Laden; he turned down that offer. Google it.
Protecting the privacy of terrorists?! Are you serious? What about the majority of people who aren't terrorists? Should they be spied upon and everything in their lives known by the government? If that's what you believe then you don't believe in a free, democratic country, you believe in a dictatorship.
How many more? Good question. I've no idea. I do know that a democratic, free country is one in which you can make a phone call without someone listening in. Send and e-mail without it being read by someone other than the recipient and text someone without it being stored on a computer for 6months.
Free country? If republicans keep up the passing of these 'rules', not laws - they have to be approved by a democratic body - the USA will be a police state by 2020.
Twenty which have been made public:Google: "Foiled Terror Plots Against America Since 9/11"
Surveillance laws make it difficult for terrorists to coordinate & communicate, and allow law enforcement to share data. The government is not interested in our weekend football game plans or girls night out, they are stopping terrorist plots.
The question is the motivation of those who wish to mischaracterized & stop agency coordination & surveillance thus granting freedoms to terrorists.
20? In 7 years? That's a pathetic amount when you take into account occurances like the London Bombings, Madrid bombings and the disasters that have occured in the USA during 7 years - most notably New Orleans - a time when man power and money was needed most by the people, for the people and instead it was being used to spy on innocent people who some twitchy agents had a 'bad feeling' about.
In your opinion, the fact that 20 terrorist attacks were STOPPED, which saved tens if not hundreds of thousands of lives is pathetic?
Did you even take the time to read the "Foiled Terror Plots Against America Since 9/11?"
What is your motivation for throwing in New Orleans (a natural disaster), mischaracterizing agency coordination & surveillance, without which, terrorists could freely plot and coordinate attacks? Agents are not "spying" on your weekend plans; lol
You really aren't getting my point at all are you? The 2nd world war was fought so that men and women could be free, not live in a world where their moves are controlled.
Supposedly live in a democratic society where all are equal and the police, special agents, etc. are supposed to be helping and looking after you - not accussing you because of a hunch they have and then persecuting you until yoU prove you're innocent. That's not a free country.
Oh and stop going on about my weekend plans, their mine and I'd rather not have anyone listening in on them uninvited. That's what the freedom of speech is all about. Being able to openly converse about something with someone. Not conversing with someone and whoever happens to be monitoring your calls that day.
Why did I throw in New Orleans? Because it's a perfect example of how the US government would rather use men and money to spy on civilians than send them to help the poor who are in need
Again, our government has stopped 20 terrorist attacks since 9-11, that have been made public. They are not "spying" on the "average Joe citizen." They don't care about conversations of innocent citizens.
New Orleans was a natural disaster. PERIOD. If you want to throw fault, look first to their state and local governments lack of preparation, first. The fed is supposed to be a backup to state and local government.
I genuinely don't believe that they have. It's far more likely they've made that up to in order to pass more 'emergency rules'.
And tell me how you distinguish between a terrorist and an innocent civilian please, because to my knowledge they look identical therefore odds are they are listening into 'average joe' conversations like it or not.
New Orleans was a natural disaster? Really? Wow. You are educated. And I do blame the state but at such a time of need the state look to the government. And where were the government? Anywhere but there.
I can see from your repeated "20 attacks prevented" your argument is limited and you are clearly so far right you are unable to listen to arguments.
So far everything I've said is fact. You have not one shred of evidence to back up anything you've said.
HAHAHA - now that's funny! Please, what was the personal attack? You're so far right you are unable to reason? Taking into account your 1 argument which is impossible to prove as it relies entirely upon view point, then I stand by my statement.
And I "have no statement to stand by" - what are you on about? If you're talking about statement that civilians of democratic societies should be free to discuss their lives without the government prying in then I suggest you turn to Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

No - show me the proof. Because to my knowledge 5 UK citizens were held in Guantamano bay on a hunch by the US agencies. All were released innocent. No apology.
It would appear, since I've asked numerous times you have no proof. Just what the government tells you.
And as for "How many deaths at the hands of terrorists are acceptable to you?" grow up. What a ridiculous question. I'm talking about the erosion of civil libities and rights, a concept you don't seem capable of dealing with. Maybe it's best the government remove all your rights.
The Republicican's have took away our civil liberties. Thrown our constitution out the window and giving their party more power. I thought the Republician party stood for smaller government?? Look up:
Military Commissions Act of 2006
The Patriot Act
The Protect America Act
The 2008 Amendments to the FISA Court Bills
H.R. 1955
I take it you would rather have no freedom aslong as their are no terrorist attacks. The government has our best interest in mind since when??
on 9/11 the republicans dropped the ball and allowed the worst terrorist attacks in history on our soil, and on their watch. then the republicans attacked a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, and this country decided to give all their oil contracts to communist china. the republicans allowed north korea to get nukes. our retard-in-chief put a missile base in poland, then russia invaded georgia for a buffer zone because they felt threatened. so...
How out of touch can you be? Obama is falling in the polls. People are waking up and looking at the truth, which is, they know almost nothing about Obama, and his associations are frightening.
There is a strong chance that Mccain might not make it through his first term ,would you really want to see Palin as president and face off with the other world leaders? She would be a peace of meet to lions ...
ScarlettKnights, the polls say that McCain's lead's falling. It peaked sharply right after the RNC and as of today it's been steadily dropping ever since that point.
Isn't it funny how CNN did an "Obama Revealed," how Obama tells everything about how he grew up, how he has two biographies, how his wife has told the story of him and her over the past 15 years, yet here you are repeating a Republican talking point: "...they know almost nothing about Obama." Are you freakin' kidding me? The person who we don't know anything about is freakin' Palin! Why? BECAUSE THE HYPOCRITICAL NEO-CONS ARE HIDING HER! Stick that in your talking point.
Instead of using words out of the leftist playbook "hypocritical neo-cons" ~~~~~~explain Obama's accomplishments.~~~~~~~ Just what has he accomplished, how will he keep the country safe, exactly how does he plan to change the tax brackets (the 95% of working familes has to do w/ incentives not tax brackets, which will go up), how much $ is he trying to send overseas, while giving the UN permission to dip into the treasury for his Global Welfare Act?
You actualy have some good questions. But the same can be asked of Mccain. It can aslo be fairly argued that he contributed to the demise and bankruptcy of our nation. If you recall, Clinton reduced the size of government and left a surplus. Bush, increased the size of government with this bullshit department of Homeland security, and doubled our debt in a matter of 8 years. Oh, with the help of john Mccain of course. Now, which one has more credibility going in?
Obama votes with the do-nothing, Dem-led Congress 97 percent of the time. It would be 100 percent, if not for his resounding "YES" vote on the FISA domestic spying bill.
The more accurate a video is, the more likely the conservative trolls/paid McCain Internet trolls are to come and rate it down and leave obnoxious, factually incorrect comments. It's hilarious in a sad, pathetic way.
palin asked her church from the stage to pray for a pipeline for big oil. she went on to ask them to pray for God to bless the iraq war. aw, let's all sing "yes Jesus loves me", and "what a friend we have in Jesus". then let's pray for God to bless the senseless mass murder of over a million people. then let's pray for God to take the side of big oil who caused the iraq war and is rippin' us off so they can get their stupid pipeline. let's bow our heads for the great bush and cheney. um... barf!
McCain States "country first" but won't speak on the issues that are so important in this crucial time in this country's history, claims that he will "fight" this and that but won't have a honest debate on the issues and as for "honor" he supposedly has, he has shown none in this campaign, one built on tabloid type nonsense , written by the guy who created the "John McCain has a black baby by a prostitute" LIE in the 2000 election!? SHAME ON JOHN McCAIN FOR PUTTING TRUTH AND HONOR LAST!
You're already seeing the real John McCain. There is no Maverick. He's just a guy that disagrees with his party from time to time, just like any other politician, but the mass majority of the time he's right there with that party (as his 91% voting record with Bush shows). And what makes him worse than your average politician is that he's like a grade school student who's willing to do anything the popular kids want him to do just so they'll like him.
Libertarians are few in numbers but if there was a real chance I would probably join their efforts. Nobody can win a debate with someone who is liberal in matters of morality and conservative in fiscal matters, and to me that's the description of a libertarian, which is probably an ideology closer to the constitution than that of the neo-conservative movement and the center-left and liberal movements.
bush lied to take us to war. with words like "shock and awe", and "the surge", we watched as bush used our military to murder over a million innocent people in iraq. most were civilians. most of those civilians were women and children. now the same folks who gave us this lying mass murderer twice want mccain. they know that he is lying, and don't care. they will sing "yes Jesus loves me", as mccain brings back the draft, and murders millions more in iran.
Couldn't be said better. McCain = sellout. He is shallow and willing to lie, cheap or seek low tactics to win. Shady guy and no knows nothing about economy or foreign policy. THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES!!!
Lets say you are a middle class family of 4. And lets say your wife works too (woman's lib and all). And you both make 60k a year. Your tax on your labor (that is your body's production) would be 60,000.00 DOLLARS. That means that your wife is now a SLAVE to the State. Welcome to the SLAVE STATE...you earned it.
Democrats could have stopped this insane war, the CHOOSE not too. They could have impeached Bush and Chaney for WAR crimes, they CHOOSE not to. Democrat's could have stopped the "Patriot Act" they CHOOSE not to. Democrat's and Republicans are they SAME. Wake up America
dude in order to impeach someone you have to have 2/3 or 2/5 senate vote, the democrats would still have to have a majority vote from the republicans.
Spoken like a true LOSER. So yuou might lose so don't try. Not only did they not even try, they did not even hold hearing on the matter untill just a few weeks ago, much to the dismay of the democratic party leadership. So cowgirl, get a grip on reality. Both democrats and republicans are pieces of shit, they mock and your political stupidity. In fact they count on people just like you to get them elected. Ignorant, selfish, self absorbed, lazy, and willing to believe just about anything.
Obama may not deliver on all that he talks about. Though I would suspect that has more to do with the necessity of politics rather than his personal beliefs.
However, since I have been engaged in politics I have never heard a politician even talk about the issues that he has or in the manner he has. I have been engaged in politics for about ten years. That is a long time to wait to even hear a politician talk like this.
James Dobson?! Geez, talk about hitting home. My family is soooo high up the Focus on the Family ladder that I have to be careful what I say here. :( This is akin to the American Civil War, when it comes to splitting families into definitive groups. I have to listen to the people I love talk about the control the KGB (WTF?) has over the Democratic Party! The future under the GOP: Roe V. Wade gone, contraception declared abortion. My wife and I move to Mexico. Her uterus is safe.
"Obama will receive the majority of his votes because people hate republicans, has nothing to do with him."
That's not true. People will vote for him because they hate Conservatives and because Obama represents the polar opposite of the last 8 years. He inspires hope rather than fear. We are able to look beyond his inexperience because, well...look at where experience has gotten us.
This talk reminded me of the daily show when they mentioned "agents of intolerance" The daily show had a clip of McCain kissing Falwell's behind. He really stood up to him!
How on Gods earth can you call yourself a maverick when you gave in to the lobbyists running your campaign on who to pick as your VP?! Everybody knows Leiberman was Mccains right hand man, and was the guy he wanted as his VP. But this being the one crucial decision that would severely impact the chances of the Republicans losing the white house, Mccain simply did what he was told to do! And no Maverick does what they are told to do! Mav's make their own rules and stick to their guns.
To the "dumb American" comment: married taxpayers don't pay 26% of their taxable income in Fed income tax until they make $297,150. That's not even counting the itemized deductions and personal exemptions, etc. Are you seriously calling people who make $297,150 middle class?
You know I bet if you were not enslaved to the State for well over half of your working lifetime, you could afford to see a doctor when ever you needed. Further more you would not have to give a "cut" (40%) to the insurance corporation, and pay the hospital to talk to and deal with the insurance corporation. You could just see a doctor one on one, and get that personal care you deserve on your terms. It is called freedom, and guess what?...It works, in fact our country was founded on it.
McCain, Clinton, Obama, these politicians mock you and your political stupidity. They laugh at you at their fancy cocktail party's with there rich donors. They know you will not take the few hours needed to realize what is really happening. They know you get your news from TV, and what you read on Yahoo, and think you are informed. In fact they count on your ignorance and stupidity. It's the oldest play in the book, and it works every time...divide and conquer.
Middle Class tax's in America. (that's the workingman)
Inflation 4% (if you don't know that's a tax then you got a lot to learn about your money)
Property and misc tax's 6%
City sales tax 6%
State 9%
Federal 26%
TOTAL == 51%
Note: Many hidden taxes were left out that you pay everyday and the real number is much higher, but too horrifying to print for your small minds to fully comprehend.
give Obama a chance- i dont think he can do any worse than what you (Americans) had in the last eight years... he has atleast 4 years to prove himself & if he doesnt deliver then he wont make it to 2nd term.Change may be uncomfortable & it's never easy but change is inevitable!!!
So you can honestly say you are voting for Obama because he will be a good president? Because of all his experience? Or is it his policy? Which is also good because he wrote how much legislation during his time as a senator? Obama will receive the majority of his votes because people hate republicans, has nothing to do with him.
I can honestly say I will vote for Obama because I like his ideas/policies. I don't know how much legislation he has written with his time in office, but he's a smart guy and I believe he can get some things done.
He openly says it has nothing to do with him. He says it has to do with the people and how they're ready to see a shift in the way things are done in Washington. You obviously aren't going to get that with the McCain/Palin ticket, no matter how many times they lie about their intentions. So Obama is the guy to at least try to shake things up in that corrupted place. Can he do it? I don't know to be quite honest. But i'd rather see him try than see those other 2 continue the trend there.
Screw that, no need to blog. No need to mislead by so called "rebels" like TYT. Everyone write in David Rockefeller for president! Rockefeller 2008. It's a much better pick than Obama or McCain. Why get lead by the middle managers?
Rockefeller 2008!
"When I die, bury me face down, as soon this world will be upside down."
The fact that he flip-flopped on the whole agents of intolerance issue is one of the best example of showing how bad McCain would be as president. This guy would input the most extreme Republican views you could imagine into effect if he's president. And all because he's desperate for acceptance in that party.
No, Obama is smart, he leaves the Republicans in a comfort zone and than the 4 weeks before the election he will have an easy time to tear down McCain on based on the results of 8 year Bush. At that time he will use his huge financial backup to back up all his debates in ads.
even if Mccain was racist i still like him cuz he's a old fart who has to do what makes him.

who will keep us safe?
on 9/11 the republicans dropped the ball and allowed the worst terrorist attacks in history on our soil, and on their watch. then the republicans attacked a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, and this country decided to give all their oil contracts to communist china. the republicans allowed north korea to get nukes. our retard-in-chief put a missile base in poland, then russia invaded georgia for a buffer zone because they felt threatened. so...

How out of touch can you be? Obama is falling in the polls. People are waking up and looking at the truth, which is, they know almost nothing about Obama, and his associations are frightening.
ScarlettKnights 3 years ago
There is a strong chance that Mccain might not make it through his first term ,would you really want to see Palin as president and face off with the other world leaders? She would be a peace of meet to lions ...
EveningGoDs 3 years ago 2
Well, his Mom is in her 90's and in good health, however, I believe governor Palin can hold her own with the "Lions."
ScarlettKnights 3 years ago
ScarlettKnights, the polls say that McCain's lead's falling. It peaked sharply right after the RNC and as of today it's been steadily dropping ever since that point.
biglu323 3 years ago
McCain is still up in the polls and Obama does better in the polls than when people actually vote.
ScarlettKnights 3 years ago
Isn't it funny how CNN did an "Obama Revealed," how Obama tells everything about how he grew up, how he has two biographies, how his wife has told the story of him and her over the past 15 years, yet here you are repeating a Republican talking point: "...they know almost nothing about Obama." Are you freakin' kidding me? The person who we don't know anything about is freakin' Palin! Why? BECAUSE THE HYPOCRITICAL NEO-CONS ARE HIDING HER! Stick that in your talking point.
Thanos1919 3 years ago
CNN "Obama Revealed" is an oxymoron.
ScarlettKnights 3 years ago
You actualy have some good questions. But the same can be asked of Mccain. It can aslo be fairly argued that he contributed to the demise and bankruptcy of our nation. If you recall, Clinton reduced the size of government and left a surplus. Bush, increased the size of government with this bullshit department of Homeland security, and doubled our debt in a matter of 8 years. Oh, with the help of john Mccain of course. Now, which one has more credibility going in?

Liar? Maybe, just like McCain.
Sexist? Who isn't - all men and all women are sexist, it's natural.
Womaniser? What's you evidence, I only see a happily married man.
Terrorist? ROFL, you're kidding right?
Defecits? How has he alone caused that? I'd say the man in charge for the past 8 years is.

I have to listen to the people I love talk about the control the KGB (WTF?) has over the Democratic Party! The future under the GOP: Roe V. Wade gone, contraception declared abortion. That's not true. People will vote for him because they hate Conservatives and because Obama represents the polar opposite of the last 8 years. He inspires hope rather than fear. We are able to look beyond his inexperience because, well...look at where experience has gotten us.

Calc:
$43830 + 33%(N-$195850) = 26% N
7%N = $20800.50
N = $297150

Simple math for dumb Americans:
Middle Class tax's in America. (that's the workingman)
Inflation 4% (if you don't know that's a tax then you got a lot to learn about your money)
Property and misc tax's 6%
City sales tax 6%
State 9%
Federal 26%
TOTAL == 51%
Note: Many hidden taxes were left out that you pay everyday and the real number is much higher, but too horrifying to print for your small minds to fully comprehend.

hecklerhouse 3 years ago
So you can honestly say you are voting for Obama because he will be a good president? Because of all his experience? Or is it his policy? Which is also good because he wrote how much legislation during his time as a senator? Obama will receive the majority of his votes because people hate republicans, has nothing to do with him.
SauceCaptain 3 years ago
I can honestly say I will vote for Obama because I like his ideas/policies. I don't know how much legislation he has written with his time in office, but he's a smart guy and I believe he can get some things done.
SapphireOrchid07 3 years ago 2
He openly says it has nothing to do with him. He says it has to do with the people and how they're ready to see a shift in the way things are done in Washington. You obviously aren't going to get that with the McCain/Palin ticket, no matter how many times they lie about their intentions. So Obama is the guy to at least try to shake things up in that corrupted place. Can he do it? I don't know to be quite honest. But i'd rather see him try than see those other 2 continue the trend there.
