  • Boring

  • @Nellyfair2 then don't watch?

  • I LOVE the moleskine and everything but I found something exactly the same in ASDA. I went there earlier this week and I found something EXACTLY like the moleskine but for only 2 pounds. It is hard cover and has thicker paper. It is way better in terms of value for money

google asda freewriter and look at the first link

  • @missscrapgirl there are MANY other brands that are better than moleskine for both paper and price.

  • @comfortableshoesstud I got a good brand at Ryman's.

  • @kongloud gouache and watercolors

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You've been very young when you made this ^^

  • @kindAhumaNbeinG eh, I was in my mid-20's

  • IS that a dick @1:12

  • @robyto95 Probably

  • i like the fact that you are just writting about everything. I just write plain stupid stuff a 17 year old would write on a diary ;-;

  • @Thingamabobification thanks, I think...

  • Very nice! But I'm wondering, what are you writing about? You write so much, but about what? Is it a sort of diary for you?

  • @Pancakiee It is. Mostly I'm writing about observations about life, the things around me etc...

  • @comfortableshoesstud Ah, nice! Love it!

  • Thank you for sharing.

I just got as new sketchbook and was searching for inspiration.

This helps. As simple as it is, it is beautiful!

  • @ReallyNotAwesome I'm glad you enjoy it!

  • Just magic.

  • @DisabledParanoia Thanks

  • I think this is a great project...very easy and un-contrived...

  • @JerseyTjej Thanks

  • what the hell are you writing in this book, i think it is for drawing

  • @LuwiDuwi4 we each have our own opinion and you are welcome to yours

  • "NO SEX FOR ME" lmaooo. Great sketchbook!

  • @chattabox1114 thanks

  • Beautiful...

  • @HenningGu thanks

  • 1:49 no sex for you

  • @atlantas99 lol

  • Hiii. Cool sketchbook. I was wondering what colors did you used. Can you tell me? I bought one and I really want to use pretty colors like that in order to express myself better =P

  • @alexmarron I used a variety of color, cotman watercolors and grumbacher gouache in this journal. Many colour were pure from the tube and others were custom miixed.

  • Hi, I like the way you just flipped the pages to show what you've done. I can see you like to write a lot and then color. I'm thinking of putting a page on my website about journaling and I'd like to put your link up because it's different than my journaling.

I make my own journals now because the paper of other journals out there is too thin for me.

  • @marymac62 feel free to link away. You might want to check out my flickr- lessherger and my blog comfortableshoesstudio(dot)com

  • Thnxs!

  • @comfortableshoesstud Where would the best place to purchse one? i love writing and drawing, but im not great at drawing lolz,

  • @reviews12345 online? Amazon, get the sketchbook variety for a brick and mortar Barnes and Noble I've been doing some reviews on my blog check it out comfortableshoesstudio(dot)com

  • what do you mainly write about? uve inspired me! thnxs! ps:great drawings

  • @reviews12345 whatever is on my mind at the moment. And thanks :)

  • So the sketchbook ver. is best for multi use in terms of sketches/colored pencils/marker/watercolor paint or I need to get the watercolor moleskine for paintings? size wise, is pocket really enough for just random day to day sketches?

  • @jjtheb I used the pocket sized version for a long time but I've moved onto the larger size. I've never used the watercolor moleskine. I haven't used a moleskine in ages. I'm more likely to bind my own books. Check out my blog comfortableshoesstudio(dot)com

  • Love this - been watching your videos and have learned tons. I now have my shopping list for when I go to the art store. A large sketchbook moleskine (using as a travel journal so I think the bigger size will work better for me - as I'll have sketches I won't want to write over - and I'll be adding elements), some watercolors (pencils and crayons), watercolor brush with water reservoir + other brushes, gesso and waterproof pens. Am I forgetting anything essential?

  • @349cam I might suggest a pan watercolor set in addition to the crayons and a bristle brush for gesso and you'll be good to go!

  • @comfortableshoesstud I picked up a small 12 color pan watercolor set today and I did remember to get a brush for the gesso as well. Will I need to gesso if only using a light wash of watercolor? As well, do you use anything to seal your pages after they are finished?

  • @349cam I'd only use the gesso if you plan on doing a heavy wash, the moleskine can take a light wash. I don't seal watercolor pages with anything.

you should head over to artjournaling.ning.com my social site for people into art journaling, loads of info there!

  • @comfortableshoesstud Thanks for all the great info!

  • @349cam :)

  • love this.

  • @SaraEnDippity Thanks!

  • saweet

  • @hyperion311 thanks!

  • How do you prevent the paints inks etc from bleeding into the next page?

  • @lisacherry85 I don't worry about it

  • @lisacherry85 In some cases I gesso'ed the page

  • did u color tht in the bck ground

  • @uyaHYPERuya You mean of the journal? Yeah I used watercolors and colored pencils to add color

  • @comfortableshoesstud thn u wrote on it???

  • @uyaHYPERuya in some cases then I wrote, in other case I wrote then I colored, depended on my mood.

  • @uyaHYPERuya well thnx for the help gurrl byee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i like that we can see a transition between the different periods you were going through in your life. like, "DRINK TEA!" to- "hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate."

  • @Raaaachell :) This particular journal had a lot of transitions in it.

  • DRINK TEA

  • @TheHollygon tea is good!

  • @comfortableshoesstud it's fantastic! and so is this journal. working on a few of my own actually. keep up the great work, I will def check out your other uploads.

  • @anfinomo you know I find it interesting that you would comment. I would get it if you had posted some Da Vinci like masterpieces on your channel but I go there and all you've done is favorite some lame ass movie footage, not one upload of your own. Meanwhile I've got 65 uploads of my own. Get a life.

At least I have the balls to put myself out there. You hide behind the anonymous internet like some sort of spineless weak mold. Perhaps you are the one should GROW.

  • @ronnieweasley While you have since removed your comment I appreciate your kind words on my simple notebook.

  • @comfortableshoesstud yep,sorry i didn't meant to remove it. But I still love your journal :)

  • @ronnieweasley it's all cool!

  • and ....so? -.-

  • @FrandiHoeunstaufen hou have rigth this video is the worst i ahve ever seen

  • lol 1:51 soooooooooooooooooo relateable!! XD

  • so if i buy a moleskine what pens should i get??

  • @sidthekid2009 It depends on what you like I use pitt pens, rapidographs or micron's

  • @sidthekid2009 yea you can pretty much use anything with moleskin

    ive even used fabric markers

and so far nothing blead through

  • nice i want to start with a simple one

  • You cut apart a FINISHED Moleskine to see how they were bound?

  • @hossrex yup. I'm a bookbinder, it wasn't hard to repair the damage I did. Also now that I know how it's bound I can make my own with any sort of paper inside. It's actually a very simple stitch called smythe sewn or single needle butterfly stitch.

  • @comfortableshoesstud

I apologize if I sounded curt... I just think you did beautiful things with this Moleskine, and I'm surprised you would cut it apart.

  • @hossrex no worries, I was explaining the why's and hows. :)

  • I LIKE HOW U DID ALL THE DRAWING AND ALL THAT

  • @MrCRISTIAN197 thanks!

  • hi im planning to buy my first moleskine mainly for writing. I was wondering, what do most people do with them after they filled it up?

  • @Dionysus135 Personally I have a shelf above my desk where all my notebooks of small size live after tehy are filled up. I like to be able to refer to them to look at my notes and idea

  • @Dionysus135

Put them on a shelf. What answer were you expecting?

  • This is great...lovin your projects Amy

  • @worker4ever123 Thanks!

  • I love this!

Hate to spam, but 0:38 is definately a vagina.

  • very nice, keep up the good work.

  • @beanersage Thanks!

  • where did you get the book from?

  • @doghappy101 barnes and noble or borders

  • how did you do the cool background colors please teach me!

    did you make the book?

  • @doghappy101 I didn't make the book it's a moleskine. The background colors are watercolors or gouache. I varied my use of watercolor and gouache to washes sometimes I put the colors down first and sometimes I put it over the top of the writing.

  • Oh, and is the background coloring (that you wrote over) just watercolors?

  • @JKChoco in come cases is gouache

  • This is beautiful work! I'm still trying to fill up my Moleskine. (:

What type of pen/ink/writing utensil did you use to sketch the coffee cup, the mug, and the ink bottle towards the end?

  • @JKChoco I used fabercastell pitt pens or microns or rapidographs for most of the work in this journal. If it has a watercolor wash overt eh top it's most likely a pitt pen or micron, becuase those have waterproof ink in them.

  • I rea on one of ur comments that you can't imagine doing art in a regular moleskine, when I post mine I will beg to differ!=]

  • @co0lerthanu I can't wait to see it! Make sure you link up a response to this video!

  • dude soooo cool i got a moleskine grid sheet (pocket sized) and you like inspired me!!! i got the grid sheet one cuz i sketch alot. so cool=)

  • @co0lerthanu glad you like it. When you fill yours post a video!

  • I love the colours!!!

  • @georgieonmymind thanks!

  • is this the pocket sized?

  • @akaKhanh yup

  • lol did you glue the pages together?

  • @thinktothemax nope this is the moleskine sketchbook, the purple band, it has heavy cardstock pages.

  • @comfortableshoesstud I just looked it up I want that one! lol I have to skip every page because of bleeding ink...

  • @thinktothemax yeah I can't imaging doing art in one of the regular moleskines.

  • @comfortableshoesstud Me either now that I know of the heavy paper notebook, lol Im not going to be able to continue until I get one!

  • Way cool!! Loved this! I'm curious...On the pages with the watercolor washes, did you do the watercolor wash first and then write over it? Or did you write on the pages first, and then wash the watercolor over the writing? Wonderful book!

  • @tessarae100 it depends on the page. The pages that are a full color wash or have a gradient effect were done previous to writing. Pages that have a box of color around the writing were done after I wrote.

  • Very cool and interesting. Your video inspired me to get one

oh... by the way your an awesome artist

  • @CrisWelps Glad you like and thanks for the props. I hope you enjoy your moleskine!

  • very very very veryy very veryyyy gooood

  • @flippysvip glad you like

  • I sell Moleskine :)

  • @BSFYT YAY!

  • @comfortableshoesstud Yey! The link is on my profile :D

  • why should i buy a moleskine? well, im thinking about buying one but i need a reason why im spending a lot of money on a notebook. :)

  • would u recommend the moleskine

it seems a bit pricey but from what i've heard people seem to really like it

and which one should i get the large one or the smaller pocket sized one?

  • I like the smaller version myself.

  • ok thanks

  • are you an artist? :)

  • @loneone01 sort of :) Are you?

  • @cloud624 you could still watercolor the pages first and then write. Or you can use colored pencils to ad color over your writing.

  • but if i use watercolor. wouldn't it pass through??

  • @cloud624 possibly. But if you try a light wash it might not, or you could make the front nad back pages the same color? I've also heard of people gluing the plain pages together to create a thicker stronger page.

  • i think gluing the pages would make it look ugly. i'll try the light wash. thanks!! :))

  • please teach me how to do this.... :(

  • @cloud624 get a waterproof pen, start writing, add watercolors over the top. Or color pages then add writing.

  • but my Moleskine is only plain...will the watercolor go to the other side??

  • @cloud624 is it a sketchbook? If so it won't unless you really saturate it.if it's the plain paper it will go through

  • it's only plain.... :(

  • what do you do?

  • @loneone01 When I worked in this journal I was working retail, stocking fruit and veggies and flowers.

  • what dud yo use to color?

  • @MyuuMuad I used a combination of watercolors, gouache and ink

  • Love that coffee cup page! It looks like you can just reach out, grab the cup and drink from it!

  • @tango2romeo Thanks!

  • Wow how fantastic!!!!!!!!!!I like the no sex for me page lol i have one of those too

    .

  • i guess we all have days like that

  • Hey! I think I see a FOB lyric at 1:11

  • I don't know who FOB is

  • This is wonderful, the text has almost a fabric-like texture, I do like the ink drawings of your cups of tea, etc. I've just started another moleskine journal this week. They're great for just letting loose and just expressing pure creativity.

  • moleskine are pretty good. I've switch to handmade journals for most of my work now.

  • HAHA penis left page 1:11

  • true. penises are always funny.

  • LOL WTF

  • laughing at the penis page, not your vid, I love your book! Moleskine is all I use!
