  • If boxing is dead then why do boxers make so much more then MMA fighters and the biggest fight in the world is Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

  • I'll take boxing sky john.....I watch MMA too, but I prefer boxing...they're 2 different sports....

  • I'm a fan of both. MMA is constantly evolving while boxing is at a standstill. Boxing needs to evolve a little bit to keep their fans. Some people may disagree but I think they should start allowing the spinning back fist in boxing. It's been responsible for several knockouts in MMA. It would make boxing a little more interesting and exciting for the fans. Thumbs up if you think boxing should allow the spinning back fist.

  • this guy shouldnt be allowed to talk to people...

  • Dumb nigga. Boxing is dead? Why, because UFC? I don't care what anyone watches, to each his own, but just because boxing isn't popular right now and UFC is, doesn't mean boxing is dead. No one pays attention to boxing right now because their is nothing exciting going on right now. All boxing needs is a new Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson.

  • @saulhudson420 theres watered down versions of them in manny pacquiao and floyd mayweather, theyre closest to the best but no one will ever meet muhammad ali or mike tysons standards

  • @IrishWeeLad There will be someone who meets their standards eventually. Don't worry. It just takes someone with heart to bring back the sport of boxing. Just like Marciano, Ali, Frazier, and Tyson did. Most people today just don't have the heart those guys had, but boxing will come back as soon as someone brings excitement back into it.

  • @saulhudson420 if you even watch boxing now its sloppy and the fighters are a joke, i probably even have more heart than them now for gods sake

  • @IrishWeeLad I know it, boxing today sucks. But all it takes is for one person to bring it back. Someone with heart and charisma and someone who's entertaining.

  • even MMA got teach the basic of boxing -.- for fucksake, boxing is not dead. it more active.

  • @KBSchamp Right and then the mma advanced their boxing moves with chokes, ground n pound, arm bars, heel hooks, and a thousand other submissions. Boxing is a very limited art of fighting and very insufficient. Put a mma fighter in the ring with a boxer and the mma fighter would take the boxer down for submission. The boxer can't prevent this because he has no takedown defense.

  • you are right. it is not the death of boxing, it is its evolution. those that don't evolve are the neanderthals and will share their fate.

  • This is how I see it. UFC and Boxing can't be compared, due to the differences in the rules.

Put a UFC fighter in a WBC titlematch, and he'll lose definately because he'd only have to rely on his boxing skills. Put a Boxer in a Cage fight, and he'll definately lose because they wouldn't know how to defend ground fighting. But i'll say this... Boxing > MMA because of one reason... you know what it is... 2 guys hugging for minutes on end on the ground then the ref breaks em up.... BORING......

  • @AjViShus But you only say that because you havn't even bothered to research or try it for yourself, If you went and did it for yourself you'd realise the importance of all the micro details in the fight.

  • I don't care for MMA. Boxing is about so much more. Not everyone can understand that, and I get it. But just because I don't like MMA, doesn't mean I'm gonna make a shitty video ranting about how inferior it is to boxing. This guy's an asshat for doing so against boxing, which is clearly still thriving as per fights like Pacquiao/Marquez or Khan/Judah.

Stop comparing apples and oranges, you're no better than fanboys fighting over Xbox vs PS3. Both make their sales, both are entertaining, stfu.

  • @EchoOfHope Boxing is about the best boxer, MMA is about the best fighter... Different sports that focus on different skills & abilities. I disagree, an alphabet soup champion means less to me than an undisputed MMA champion in the realm of combat sports. It just boils down to preference...

  • @Immortalsyn83 Not by a long shot. That's a gross simplification of the two sports, but if you wish to narrow your understanding of them to that, then go right ahead.

And about preference, pretty sure I made that point clear in my comment, thanks.

  • @EchoOfHope Preference goes a long way in determining an individuals thoughts and idea's towards a certain subject or sporting event. NASCAR is very lucrative but to me its just cars driving in a circles. Boxing is about boxing, MMA encompasses all aspects of full body combat. I agree both sports are entertaining, making sales ect but disagree either sport means more than the other. They are simply different sports focusing on different abilities.

  • The only boxing I ever watched without changing The channel is the rocky movies haha.

  • i like watching both sports by the way but this dude has no life probably never got into a scrap in his life

  • someone should kick this dudes ass talk about real MMA groupie probably drink the sweat out of an MMA fighters cup if asked what a fag

  • The Mayweather Ortiz debacle was another nail in the coffin. I love both and Ive been boxing since I was 6 ,But MMA guys show each other respect and fight with honor. Not so much w/ boxing recently.

  • Ok than show us some nice fights with MMA. :)

  • Boxing best fight sport ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @boxernurik Next to MMA...

  • Mma is gay gay gay lol

  • @GeeeksOtaku2020 How is the combination of all martial arts in a full contact sport gay?

  • @GeeeksOtaku2020 your gay for saying that because your just trying to hide your own homosexuality by bashing things you cant even compete with by calling it gay

  • Is this video a joke?A boxer would shit on any MMA fag!

  • @lord1night1wish Only in a boxing match... Without years of training for takedown defense & ground game, they wouldn't make it out of the first round in MMA.

  • @lord1night1wish that's impossible, boxers are PUNCHERS, MMA fighters are FIGHTERS , they wouldn't survive in a street fight, remember 80% of the fights go to the ground, nuff said

  • @lord1night1wish you are a dipshit in case if you haven't heard randy couture a legend of MMA fucking dominated a legend of boxing James Toney in a humiliating fashion made him eat his own words and made him pay for his arrogance for thinking a boxer could beat a martial artist in the octagon now if it were in the ring it would be different but the mma fighter could survive Toney barely survived 3 minutes and got submitted in 3:20 what do you got to say to that bitch

  • @bunghole211 Why the word "Bitch"?How about you chill the fuck out and grow up I made a comment who cares.Dont get mad...Get glad.

  • @lord1night1wish oh I not mad I'm just telling you how it is

  • @bunghole211 Ok then, but everyone has their likes and dislikes.I like Boxing you like MMA it's cool.Just start showing youtube user's how to act correctly instead of cussing.Allright?

  • dude boxing is a well recognized sport you should shut up. MMA is much more effective but its a differnt situation, are you gonna do mma in a street fight? or are you gonna just punch the guy in jeans?

  • Boxing is dead MMA ftw

  • @specialforces69 What r u talking about retard? Did i say anything about the progression of mma? No we were arguing about were and when it was started. IK that ur embarrassed because u claim to be an mma fan yet u dont know shit. Thats okay u will fit in with the other 95% of MMA fans who have no clue what there talking about. I'm glad i got to teach u something though.

  • @specialforces69 dude Pankration is the original MMA. the first MMA!!! Everything after that is a result of the invention of Pankration. Definition of Pankration= Combination of boxing and wrestling with no rules. Sounds like MMA right? You're completely ignorant if you think MMA hasn't been around for hundreds and hundreds of years

  • mma is a happy medium, its a place where all styles are accepted, boxing is being way too confined and narrow with just punching and footwork, kickboxing is way more interesting than boxing in my opinion, maybe it really is time to move on to mma and ufc, boxing is not dead people just have to set it aside for awhile and learn a new skill like brazilian jiu jutsu to compete in MMA

  • @mudkipzuzu that's based on opinion really. there's nothing wrong with liking all styles and thinking boxing is to restrictive. but some people like boxing outside of reasons of "just punching" it's not always about punching, it's how you punch. you have to put some kind of strategy into it. i think boxing is more interesting than mma and kickboxing, but that's me. both incorporate strategy. it just depends on your viewpoint really. i like that it's just punching.

  • @specialforces69 LOL what a retarded thing to say. Hey basketball was invented in Canada so i guess everybody who watches it is Canadian. HAHA idiot. MMA wasn't created by Brazilians or Japanese. Idiot MMA fans don't even know anything about the sport u claim to be a fan of. Ever heard of Pankration? Im guessing not.

  • the pacquiao fight was in more news than the velasquez fight so boxing is definately not dead. i believe that boxing is more of a sport but financially wise this guy is right i think

  • boxing is dead BUT one floyd fight brings in more than every ufc fight for the whole year. Yeah its dead all right.

  • @KingKassius exactly this dumb mother fucker has no clue. Boxing is on the verge of the biggest fight in history and people are saying its dead!! LOL MMA fans are dumb rednecks

  • @cpaignboxing While I would like to point out sky john's neck isn't red... I agree both combat sports are here to stay. Ton's of dumb rednecks like boxing too!

  • @KingKassius it's not dead, it's just in a slump because pacquiao and mayweather wiped out all the compitition already. when the up and comers gain experience, a new cycle of boxing will start. when pac and may leave, new people will gain popularity and more fights will take place again.

  • man people over rate mma ability in a street , if you grapple with someone do u think there going to respond by wrestling you ? no they could have a weapon and stab u they could try crush your balls or gauge your eye out , i mean the Brazillion fighters seem to be more likely to know what their doing in the street but guys like fintch who just hold you down with thier wrestling ? thats not going the cut in street fight MMA is just as hampered by rules as boxing

  • @crookedwiretap89 - you have a point. I did Krav Maga for years which is proper military sytle fighting to get the job done. Lately I've been doing cage fighting which is fantastic but as you say in a real st fight I'd prefer using brutality over an arm bar. For example if I was on top of someone as I stood up to get off them I'd be putting elbows to groin etc. Thats Krav Maga.

  • get a life you fool

  • myspace? oh yeah i remember that shit! - was my reaction

  • Nigger learn to use a green screen properly

  • EVERY BOXER

KNOCKS UFC FIGHTERS OUT IN THE RING

  • I attribute that to the fact muay thai has defense vs kicks.. so you already have all of striking down..then all you need from there is to know how to sprawl or react to a person trying for a take down.. whether you move or counter him... so yea i think if you put someone who knows only boxing in mma yea he will lose..but i think you put any mma fighter in a boxing match...the mma guy will either be knocked out or turned into a punching bag for the entire fight.. in the end muay thai is #1 :P

  • lol put a mma fighter in ring with boxer that mma fighter is not going to do shit lol...

give mayweather time to train proper defense vs kick and take downs..he could easily have a good chance of winning the fight.. just my opinion.. I am a new age fighter i fight more than one sport.. from experience of jumping in the ring with everyone.. mma cannot go into pure sports and do great but people can go into mma and sometimes do great.. more often than not it comes from muay thai..

  • man this video sucks ass...

  • fuck you nigga

  • Dude, you are so right!!!

  • i wana cccccccccc may vs pac mannnnnnnnn thats it, i would watch that fight over prob any ufc fight, buttttttttt 1ce its done boxing can r.i.p id never watch another box fight in my life, go my man diaz bros

  • i've expected fight... not damn nigga

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOU

  • I also see ALOT of comments about "it only requires ONE punch to knock someone out!" "it only requires to take the boxer down and he's out!" - what scenario do you think of? An MMA fighter entering the boxing ting? A boxer entering an octagon? I can tell you this pretty certain: A boxer in an MMA fight will PROBABLY (not 100% of the times) lose due to other techniques the boxer is not familiar with. If an MMA fighter enters the boxing ring, he will most likely lose due to a KO. Best? None.

  • I won't say "MMA OWNS BOXING OMGOMGOMG!!!" because it doesn't on all arenas. Boxing has existed for a long time, while MMA haven't. The thing I think is interesting to see now is how boxing will cope with another martial arts entertainment. How they handle things. If they do as now, the sport will SLOWLY die. If they do some changes in how it works with organizations etc, boxing might still have a huge fanbase. Probably not as much as now, but still a respectful amount of fans.

  • The guy in this video is so annoying regardless if your an mma or boxing fan.you can just tell he is a prick who has never done either sport.

  • boxing needs a organization like mma has with ufc which they do a good job promoting there fighters , end of the day its not as exciting watching fighters u dont know

  • boxing is sooo lamee to watch. dont know how they get fans. the ufc on the other hand..

  • @ITACHIGOOOO like people say before, you have to know the difference between boxing and just throwing punches. if you know what it means to box, you won't care that they are just limited to boxing. it's not about the punching, it's about the strategy incorporated to "just punching." i can say that ufc sucks but that's because i don't know much about mma. i think mma is lame to watch but it's just opinion like yours. i don't get how ufc gets fans, but it does. just like boxing.

  • @brandeezy108 the sport is excruciating to watch. 10 rounds of guys throwing jabs back and forth that get blocked and someone winning based off decision. is it even a contact sport?

  • @jayFromTheBay19 dude u know nothing about boxing shut ur dumbass up

  • @cpaignboxing i know enough to say that if a boxer and ufc fighter got into a fight, i have my money on the mma fighter

  • @jayFromTheBay19 wow cool i couldnt give 2 fucks who wins in a street fight. Thats all dumbass mma fans care about. I like watching top level athletes not low life street fighters.

  • @jayFromTheBay19 Wtf? boxer vs mma in street fight? boxer wins hands down! boxer has lots of money compare to a bum mma fighter.. lots of money means more bodyguards more gangs more guns and more lawyer! so who win the street fight? my fact is real and your fact is a fantasy! so STFU! stupid kid!

  • @iLoveNaughtyGirls01 first of all you sound like a straight idiot.. "lots of money means more bodyguards more gangs more guns and more lawyer!" sounds like you're the one with the fantasies to me. cus you just see soo many street fights (real fights) involve bodyguards, lawyers, gangs and guns right? stfu.go learn to box while i learn MMA and i guarantee i whoop you're ass

  • if Boxing is dead why are they making so much MONEY? because people want to see it. When a MMA fight makes over 100Million$ come talk to me.

  • Most people don t understand boxing! They watch but they don t understand the game

  • hey Nigga you don´t know any shit....

    SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!

  • You can't argue that boxing isn't good for stand up skills- you still learn valuable knowledge about striking from it. If you just train MMA then you become mediocre at everything, and not good at one particular thing. At the moment i'm training pure jiu jitsu and pure muay thai, and only after i developed a good skill base in both did I start doing MMA training.

  • dont say Boxing is inferior to mma. as a form of combat? yes. as soprt no. mixed martial artists dont make shitt compared to $

  • @punisher00109 Only 2 guys are making monster bucks in boxing, you should look up this interview about UFC fighters salaries. "Exclusive Lorenzo Fertitta Interview, Part 2" he talks about fighters earning over 10 million every year not including sponsors. White also announced at the Diaz Penn post fight press conference UFC since 2006 has made over 40 millionaires.

  • @Immortalsyn83 interesting. ill check it out

  • @Immortalsyn83 once they leave the cycle of boxing can restart. there are A LOT of up and comers that have a lot of talent, but only need promoters. once they gain experience it will end up to being the two best in the sport again and then the next generation will come. boxing isn't dead, it's just in a slump. the end of one cycle will be the birth of another.

  • @brandeezy108 Dunno why you are pointing that out to me, I never said boxing was a dead or dying sport. However if UFC couldn't compete with boxing in this day & age people wouldn't try to compare UFC to the entire sport of boxing. Instead they would be comparing UFC to top rank or golden boy. People enjoy MMA because its a complex full body combat sport which requires several skill sets & advanced strategic knowledge to compete at the highest levels. I enjoy all the combat sports!

  • Is boxing dead? Absa-muthafucking-lutely! I used to be able to resite the top boxers around the world in the various weight classes. Ask anyone now and the only name people actually know is either the Phillipino Paciao or Mayweather. Funny thing is they are in the same weight class and they don;t wat to fight each other...this is part of the problem with boxing is that the champions dont fight the best they fight nobodies.

  • @aspagan it's not dead, it's just reached the end of one cycle, because those two boxers happend to wipe everyone out. once they leave, the new prospects will be able to make their own pay per views and fight among themselves and once it's left down to only two great boxers again and they leave, you got the birth of another generation of talented boxers out there. this is just the end of a cycle in boxing that repeats over and over. ufc in golden years competes with boxing in it's crap years :P

  • The only argument you mma guys have got is that your sport uses more disciplines of fighting.so what. Only takes one good punch which has been demonstrated in the cage and in the ring.and on the street!boxing goes back so far, you mma guys need to respect that, once mma has done as much as boxing has and lasted as long then you can open you mouths.show some respect

  • @reptile202 MMA use Grappling, kicking, dick sucking, butt licking blah blah blah! dont your brain understand? a boxer using small mma glove need is just 1 ONE O-N-E clean hit! = MMA dude out !! especially at MMA guy everybody knows MMA fighter dont have chin.. maybe a boxer hit you? thats why your brain dont get it..

Junior Dos Santos just Knock Out a World Class Wrestler Cain Velasquez using his BOXING skills!

    Still not 50-50? wew!

  • @YsoSer10us The best fighter is not a Boxer, Karate or Judo man. The best fighter is someone who can adapt to any style, to be formless, to adopt an individual's own style and not following the system of styles. Bruce Lee said that...

Cain wasn't looking to grapple with JDS, he was trying to box with him... JDS is a well rounded fighter who has top notch Jiu-Jitsu as well as incredible boxing & takedown defense skills. In short, fighters like him are the future of MMA.

  • i think boxers are usualy tougher i have done boxing and mma and i got to say boxing was a lot tougher training and the ammount of shots to the head is crazy, mma was violent but its a lot shorter and crazier you can survive longer in mma i think but boxing takes way more heart, courage, finesse and brain then mma. and i dont do mma or boxing now i wanted to get fit and boxing was to hard so i done mma which was alot easier

  • Comment removed

  • fuckkkk

  • youre a flaming homosexual. dead and gone.

  • i normally don't like videos like this, but it was mildly amusing .

  • Just like iLoveNaughtyGirls01 said a boxer only need is one clean hit and any MMA fighter would be Knock the fuck out! that is why a elite boxer vs a elite mma in an mma match is 50-50 while on boxing match a mma fighter is 0% chance.

  • @YsoSer10us A 50-50 chance? Highly unlikely. In a MMA match, the MMA fighter is trained in both grappling, kicking and boxing. The boxer is only trained in boxing - striking.

  • FUCK MMA. Boxing owns.

  • Nope white guys also own hockey lmao

  • Once again boxing proves to be the most effective in any combat sports! Junior Dos Santos just Knock out a World class Wrestler Cain Velasquez using his boxing skills!.. Before the fight in an interview Junior Dos Santos said this - I love boxing its my main sport. I try to use my boxing all the time and try to win my fights by knockout. I want to be the UFC Champion and I will be I will be the UFC Champion. I like boxing so much and when I get a chance I will be in a boxing fight. just for me.

  • Mma is just a phase, lots of the big ufc governing bodies are going bankrupt, mma will be dead in 10 years.

  • @cheatingwanker The same people that govern boxing also govern MMA so they would both go down. Only certain people are big draws on PPV, Dawson vs Hopkins had about 50,000 buys which is far worse than any UFC event this year. Both sports will continue to rise, 7 years with Fox & FX will only increase the public interest in MMA. Only certain boxers generate more money, not every boxer makes over 10 million plus every year which is what some UFC stars make annually according to Lorenzo Fertitta.

  • @Immortalsyn83 I hope boxing doesn't go away because there is room for every sport, but I think it's evident that it's declining in popularity because humans are barbaric and they want to see blood rather than a chess match in the ring hitting each other with pillows. The only time boxing is exciting is when you have a brawler vs brawler match but not every boxer is a brawler. Defensive vs defensive boxing is the least exciting to watch,...I'd rather watch fencing.

  • @tkathryyn Both MMA & boxing are a chess match... I like MMA because it allows champions from all combat sports a platform to showcase their skills & abilities in full combat competition. Both sports are here to stay!

  • @Immortalsyn83 "The same people that govern boxing also govern MMA so they would both go down"

That's totally not true. Just because one loses a leg that doesn't mean you can't walk again. Just because boxing goes down, that doesn't mean MMA will go down too. It just depends on fan base. Fans will make that decision in the future whether boxing stays or not..or at least be minimized in size.

  • @tkathryyn This comment was directed at cheatingwanker who said: "lots of the big ufc governing bodies are going bankrupt, mma will be dead in 10 years." IMO boxing does need to be scaled back, it's way too fragmented at this point & time with too many titles per division.

  • Also, how can boxing be dead when it still has massive .fights coming. The hole ufc fight card still isn't generating the amount of cash boxing makes in 1 big fight.

  • Plus boxing still generates more money, how much does Floyd may weather get per fight....millions, how much does the top ufc fighter get, thousands.lol. The thing is, a good boxer taking up mma training could probably make it In the ufc, as that's where most of the mma fighters start. However, could any of the ufc fighters of today make it in boxing....no.and that's a fact.

  • Haha, great comeback mr 2 stroke. And some amazing favorites you have there haha. It's funny because nobody likes to see two guys rolling around on the floor, don't you think it's co-incidence when the ref stands the ufc fighters up the who, arena cheers. It's more exciting to watch a stand up fight. The ufc keyboard warriors on here should go and watch bas rutten and other current ufc fighters talking about the same subject.they know what there talking about.you guys dont

  • There are some good videos on here of actual fighters who compete in both sports having the same debate, and both partied who "know" what there talking about show mutual respect for each others sports, the mma fans (key board warriors) might want to go and have a look, you might learn a thing or 2

  • Also you wouldn't get people like kimbo making there way to the main event on the boxing ppv, haha, what a joke. Tank Abbott did ok in the ufc when it was proper and he's just a street fighter.boxing has achieved so much and the mma is still playing catch up.kimbo kimbo! Lol

  • Haha, boxing is a massive part of mma, to rubbish the sport is pointless as all mma fighters will use boxing, a few of the greatest mma fighters, such ad chuck liddel, vitor belfort,Dan Severn any many others, have won lots of there fights using boxing.so to say it's dead is retarded cause it lives on in the ufc you thick twats

  • @cheatingwanker shut up fool boxing is a small part of MMA and they didnt just win there fights from boxing many other skills involved too p.s. boxing is dead as a sport

  • What your talking here is like comparing basketball with football, boxing is a sport limited in action so that you can develop a great deal of combinations with two hands, whereas MMA is a whole body usage ,legs ,elbows, fists,,BUT hey is that really a free style,NOP,because it is limited too,i am not a fighter, but if you put me in a cage with a MMA fighter as soon as i have him close enough ill rip of his nose, ear, chick, with my teeth,,is that allowed? No, so its not real fight as to be yourself.

  • fu nigga xD

  • Every time i come back to this video, it makes me smile every time. Why? He speaks the truth even though all you boxing fanboys can't handle it.

  • @zacktillery Money will effect the promotional side of mma the same as boxing does sooner or later, were seeing it already will chael sonnen and silva.

  • @vinniedurrant If the UFC makes at least 1$, Dana White will keep it going. He is an animal. He'd do anything to beat other people, and that is why it will succeed. You will see.

  • @vinniedurrant MMA has already succeeded in my eyes, it's just that the point I explained was a valid one and you will see how it has hindered both sports.

  • Comment removed

  • Also, to say boxing is dead is just stupid as it's still generating more revenue.....but forgetting about the 2 sports for a second. From a street fighting perspective, boxing is a he'll of a lot more effective, you can't beat a good right hand, you don't want to be rolling around on the floor with somebody trying to execute a fancy arm bar cause you'll get stamped all over. So yeah boxing overall wins

  • @cheatingwanker Dawson vs Hopkins only generated 50,000 buys which was the biggest PPV flop of the year. Why are you comparing combative sports with street fighting? The person that wins has the most people with them or weapons. Boxers only beat people in boxing, most fail miserably transitioning to MMA or a K-1 type setting. 6 months of grappling won't stop an Olympic caliber wrestler from dumping you on your head & choking you unconscious. Handicapping a fighter only proves hes not a boxer.

  • @cheatingwanker You're an idiot. You've never been in a fight. You're just some butthurt boxing fan. Your comment makes Zero sense. Zero. "you can't beat a good right hand" <-- It's called a takedown. "you dont want to be rolling around on the floor with somebody trying to execute a fancy arm bar cause you'll get stamped all over." If you are referring to multiple attackers, then you're an IDIOT if you engaged. One versus one, there is no equal. MMA is the god of combat, get used to it, kid.

  • Putting it simply, and I've competed in mma and boxing, you could train a world champion boxer to fight in the Ufc with around 6 months grappling, wrestling or bjj training and he'd do well maybe go all the way.but you couldn't get a world champion mma fighter to compete against a world class boxer in the ring as he would get destroyed.and that's a fact, as ive done both and ironically gone further with mma

  • OK lemme say it in a way everyone would understand.. yes grappling aint as fun to watch as brawling in boxing. BUT graplling takes alot more skill to win... no such thing as luck in grappling.. .but anyone can be lucky and get a knockout in boxing

  • "Go the distance with Floyd Mayweather"

Are you for real? MMA fights go up to 5 rounds, 5 mins/round (25 mins), while boxing can go up to 12 rounds, 3 mins/round (36 mins). Floyd would outlast the MMA fighter easily.

    "Out in 20 seconds"

You've got no justification for predicting an MMA fighter could beat a boxer just because the former can grapple. It's not about the art, but about the artist performing it. A boxer as skilled as Floyd Mayweather could surely last more than 20 seconds.

  • @Desmond8043 To be fair you expend much more energy grappling than poke jabbing & being evasive. If Floyd Mayweather fought GSP in MMA it would be over in under a minute. GSP wouldn't last too much longer than that with Floyd in a boxing match either. I would wager someone like Nick Diaz could go a while with Floyd in boxing but defiantly not win.

  • @Desmond8043 see the thing is in mma its more than just boxing.. its about kicks its about boxing its about muay thai its about judo its about jiujitsu its about any other martial art.. if you add all that up it eaquals a huge stanima loss wich also requires a lot of condition to remain standing..

But i do gotta agree with you cause i say it all the time myself "It's not about the art, but about the artist performing it" floyed would probably last.. but would probably loose

  • gay

  • Frank Shamrock -Boxing is the hardest most finite sport to learn unlike grapling which is very natural very organic. I dont watch MMA at all. I only watch Boxing. I watch MMA because its my art and studying my art

Junior Dos Santos - I love boxing its my main sport. I try to use my boxing all the time and try to win my fights by knockout. I want to be the UFC Champion and I will be I will be the UFC Champion. I like boxing so much and when I get a chance I will be in a boxing fight. just for me

  • @YsoSer10us Frank was comparing wrestling to boxing, not boxing to MMA. MMA is the sport of fighting, grappling just like punching is only 1 aspect of fighting. When Zab Judah was still champion he even admitted MMA is more exciting to watch than boxing. Ray Mercer claimed training for MMA makes boxing look easy.

Boxing has been many peoples main discipline, however those fighters that succeed also have a good ground game/takedown defense or they will get wrecked in MMA.

  • Comment removed

  • @Immortalsyn83 WTF are you talking about? Frank never mention wrestling he said he never watch MMA at all! not wrestling he said M-M-A search this here on youtube frank-shamrock-views-on-boxing and see for yourself. dont try to defend MMA because even the MMA legend knows that MMA is boring.. you know it dont lie to yourself. I mean fighter with no chin no boxing skills then drop on the ground roll like homos and fight like a bum.. no science no passion just pure street figthing bum style..

  • @YsoSer10us You are taking what he said out of context because it was labeled in a retarded way on youtube. When he compared MMA to boxing he said they are light years apart, he was talking about learning aspects of MMA such as grappling vs boxing. MMA is full body combat, boxing is limited to only two hands. By definition boxing is a part of MMA & science is part of every martial art. MMA requires more combat knowledge / skill sets. Tyson, Haye, Jones jr, Judah, Mercer, Hopkins all MMA fans.

  • i have proof on this debate message me and ill send u guys a link

  • hahahaha mayweather in ufc? hes too pussy to fight pacquiao! let alone someone like forest griffin or anderson silva

  • Amen XD.

  • co za pojebany murzyn :D

  • Bro, if you take boxing, striking out of MMA, what do they have left? Anderson Silva, Chuck Liddell, etc...wouldn't be champions without the sweet science!

You really can't compare the two. One uses hands only. The other uses grappling and striking. So your comparison is MOOT!!

  • I love both sports...but i gotta admit that there's a much higher % of douches that follow mma.Like the fuckstick that made this video.

  • And even better I'm white

  • I'm the next mike Tyson

  • white guys can suceed in wtf most of the greatest p4p boxers are black

  • this guy is a cunt

  • Boxing and MMA aren't comparable. A boxer wouldn't last 5 minutes in the octagon and an MMA fighter wouldn't last 5 in the ring, don't be a doosh

  • U NIGGA ARE A FAG

ILL FUCK U TILL U LOV ME FAGGET

  • BOXING IS NUMBER ONE SKILL AND COMPETITION

    UFC = LAY N PRAY

I KNOW SOME REAL MMA FANS AND THEY HATE U NEW FANBOYS BROCK LESNAR GENERATION

  • @smokinlefthook There is no number 1 skill or competition, both sports are excellent in their own way. Boxing is currently too fragmented & not giving the fights fans want to see. UFC on the other hand is working in overdrive putting several excellent fights on every card. It's the person's job on the bottom to get to his feet, if he can't he deserves to lose while being pummeled in the process.

  • if u dont know how to punch at mma u dead... we cant compare two differents sports. with different rules....U better have to master boxing then tko and then wrestling and finaly u can say u are good at mma!

  • go and say 'Boxing is dead' to Mike Tyson in the face.. not on youtube you pussy ass bitch, you probably dont even know how to punch

  • Its floyd mayweather that ruins the boxing. Have you seen Mayweathers fight with Victor Ortiz? Yes. Floyd is a fucking disgrace for boxing, non sportmanship piece of shit. Badr Hari will knock him out in the future when Badr is going to America to start hes boxing career there.

  • The only thing shit about MMA is the takedowns who the hell wants to watch 2 guys roll around every round

  • @bleachblade100 you mustn't be a true mma fan then.

  • @bleachblade100 What an idiotic comment... that "rolling around" is jiu jitsu.. and if locked into a choke an leg lock or an armbar and your dumb ass doesnt tap your either gonna faint or have a useless limb for a while..

face it.. boxing won't ever meet mma standards

  • @coCHINO691 Yes and that is thanks to the gracie brothers who represented traditional martial arts not mma. I don't think boxings going anywhere soon, the concept of mma is good concept and skillful fighters like jon jones are making it appeal to boxing fans, "poetry in motion" is a phase that best describes boxing; mma might adopt this phrase when the fighters adopt a more fluid style.

  • @vinniedurrant jon jones? thats it? i mean he's good but u cant forget anderson silva, chuck laddel, cain velasquez, mayehm.. etc.. and "poetry" theres nothing poetic about a fight.. so i find that lame.. fighting is an art but theres nothing petic about it.. and fluid or not MMA could woop a boxer any day

  • @vinniedurrant So when jon jones feint's a take down and then turns it into a spinning reverse elbow that's not poetic motion? So your basically saying there's nothing beautiful about watching a skillful fighter?

I know there's more fighters besides JJ , he's just one of my favorites, machida, silva, sonnen and faber to name a few. I'm not debating about who would win between mmma and boxing, it's obvious jiu jitsu skills are a clear advantage so debating that is just childish.

  • @coCHINO691 funny how retarded brainless comments like tghis get thumbed up; says a lot about mma fans. No wonder its the fastest dying sport out there.

  • @notthelastword Soo.. where was the "retarted brainless comment" ? fastes dying? fuckin idiot.. its one of the fastest growing.. atleast o some damn research before you make a stupid comment.. your probably an asshurt boxer

  • @coCHINO691 eh i disagree all you need to know is defense..know how to defend or counter a move you can use only hands..
