@paktype i always liked the 3rd gen charger better then the 68-70 charger. why over pay because everyone wants to look the same in the 2nd gen charger
i have a 73 charger 400 magnum stripes and hood pins. its rotting away in the field still completely restorable. but in another ten years forget it. i wish i had the money to bring it back to life, thinkin i should just give it away to mopar lover who will give it what it needs
@PrimaLucci thanks for looking at my charger u can email me at vstarbruce@yahoo.com if u r interested in the car everything is for sale and there is alot of changes to car added alot of hp and she is alot nastier
@mex55 your best bet is to watch ebay to see what they are selling for as for the 72 9000.00 is not bad but it also depends on what model and options the car has
darktrooper, if your going to buy one check them out on ebaymotors first to see prices and 2500. is a good price to start with body panels can be replaced make shure floors and trunk pan are not rotted very costly what year did you find? emal me back at vstarbruce@yahoo.com much easer to reach me good luck ,bruce
Im actually considern buyin one of these and fixin it up it doesn't have a engine or transmission tho guy's askin $2500 for it no way im payin that much for no engine/transmission i seen 1 with both of those sell for the same ammount what price do you recomend i offer?
Was that a SB car to begin with, I did not see any duel exhaust openings in the rear.My 73 SE 440 mag had them. My car was yellow as well. It would get 18-20 on the road at arond 80 or so. Cheapest car on gas I have ever seen for being so fast.
@vstarbruce We have a name in common we like. Did your car come with factory duels exh. Some 400 had 4bbls while some had 2 bbl s. All 440 motors did even if non magnum /HP types. The 73 440 magnum would have a U code, They had a steel crank with the 6 pack rods. Most of the 400 had c cranks by 73 on. I think the last 400 HP with steel crank came with the 4 speed Trans in 72. Those 400 make great stoker motors for sure. There huge bore and a short deck makes for light parts. Best, yl
@ylism my motors block is from 76 or 77 they make great strokers all internial parts are from 440 source including heads and water pump. the car was a 400 2 bbl and single exaust i will be installing a weiland tunnel ram and 2 edelbrocks 600 cfm carbs in the next couple of weeks have to cut the hood first will post a new video when done
@vstarbruce 440 sourcs has good parts including there alum heads. A big jump there going from a 2 bbl to an 8 bbl motor. You have a real nice setup like it is. Sounds & runs great now. It's too bad you need to cut the cars hood. You could get a fiberglass one that would be liter. But also would cost more money. Let me know when you get another video posted of your Charger. I have seen others set up like that, and they do make more power. Hope it works great for you ! yl
@ylism the vstar was my old yamaha vstar silverado 1100 it was a 2005 now its in motor cycle heaven now i have a goldwing but im not changing my email vstarbruce@yahoo.com. you on facebook?
@vstarbruce They are nice bikes. Both of them the V-Star & Goldwing. You did not happen to get into a wreck, I hope not. I always liked motorcycles and thought about buying one about a 100 times over the years. It just never worked out . I do have a 67 cuda notch back & a 69 Dodge super bee clone to be. But it's totally striped down right now. All the parts are every where even the 383 magnum. We found it had two broken rings & pistons. Work on it is going slow. Never have been on Face Book.
@MiracleMileV8 Harley's run in the my family. Even ones from the 2nd WW. From Indians to Harley's. Some with saddle on them. I was riding shotgun when I was 5 years old with my Granddad. He was the smartest men I ever knew. He worked on Porsches that ran at Daytona FL, Even when there own German engineers could not get them to run right. To building the former Harley's motorcycles and a lot more. You have good taste in rides. yl
@krissypooh521 yes the car could be for sale for the rite price i have well over 25000.00 into it the motor alone was 10500.00 to have built if your interested email me at vstarbruce@yahoo.com
Is this in Las Vegas? it looks like it, i got a 72 Charger se with a 440 and im in vegas, your car looks familiar, i think i seen it at a couple of car shows,i never seen whats under the hood though, man that sounds great! mopar or no car! you can see a vid or two that i made of mine, i am working on making a better one and i will have it up soon
Im trying to get a charger and I think i'll end up with a 318 because there the cheapest and there are alot of them out there! I might turn it into a stroker some day. Do you get good gas mileage with a stroker? I know you get alot more Horse power but Im just wondering about HP.
@axel1831 gas milage is great with a stroke motor about 6 mpg on highway keeping it 65 or under with 355 gears around town it goes from station to station but a mopar with close to 600 hp who can complain but the wife cant wait to put a tunnel ram on it
