  • Such a great turnout! I don't think the proponents of this measure had any idea that they would awaken the activism of the gay community to this degree. Indirectly, they may have done us a favor.

  • The thing that will not be tolerated is constitutionalized discrimination, the stripping of civils rights, or rights that are not granted EQUALLY TO ALL. That is what is not, nor ever will be tolerated by anyone in the United States of America.

  • It's so sad to see such a lack of tolerance by the gay community toward those who voted in the majority to ban gay marriage in a legal vote. What's funny about this situtation is that it was the black Obama supporters that would push the vote count to pass the amendment to victory!

  • Our christianity is judged by God, not by false prophets or those who would take His name and His word in vain. We believe that God taught us to love, not to hate, not to divide, not to name-call, not to treat others in a way we would not ourselves want to be treated. We believe in equality for all, not just for heterosexuals or self-proclaimed Christians.

  • And yet you liberals are the ones who sue to get rid of God.

  • For a city named after a saint, San Francisco is very anti-Christian.

  • Gays and the civil rights movement arent the same thing. Gays arent thought of as only 1/3 a person. They are allowed to do anything thing they want to. they have more protection against discrimination than straight people. you cant marry and divorce, big deal. i thought CALIFORNIA WAS A DEMOCRAT STATE!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH...

  • If you don't understand that gays are a segment of the population that is discriminated against then where is your head? They deserve FULL equal rights as straights.

History should tell us even though a democratic state is chosen to decide people's rights, their decision is not always right nor just. In CA in the 1940s interacial marriage was not allowed because the people voted on it. Well the Supreme courts justices overturned it and the public had to eat their bigotry.

    Just watch!

  • Well done guys, dont accept this!

    Greetings from sweden.

  • I am pleased to be included in this vid. I am sending it to all my friends. I am the tall dude whistling down the march and I am on from :46 to :52. My sign says: I am PROUD to be GAY and I am from Willow Glen, CA - My Sister is PROUD to be Bi-Sexual and she is from Los Gatos, CA. She came out to me that morning since I told her I was going to represent our home town. She now Lives there and is Happily married and her whole family (6) voted NO on 8!

  • Hey, kewl! I'm honored to have been able to capture you on video. That was one of the most inspiring nights I've ever experienced and one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Thanks for your positive energy and standing up for what we know is right!

  • No to H8ers

  • Here, here! I only wish I had taken a much longer video sequence to show how much bigger the crowd really was as compared to what is being said in many news reports (Chronicle: 1000, Mercury News said 2,000).

  • You liberals are all about hate. Hatred of Christians, Mormons, Blacks, and Latinos.

  • Sorry you feel that way, Stoogie. Your generalization is both inaccurate and untrue. Perhaps you should look at yourself and ask what it is that stirs up the hate you project onto others!

  • Prove me wrong. It's gay rights groups who are the ones protesting and vandalizing churches and Mormon temples. It's gay rights groups being racist against blacks and Latinos.

  • It breaks my heart that the insignificant mormon church could inspire hate enough to elicit tens of millions of dollars to take away peoples rights.

  • It is indeed and it also seems that their non-profit status should be questioned as there are limits to which such organizations are allowed to donate and support political causes. The concept of separation of church and state is the basis for granting such tax-exempt status!

  • The Vote No crowd actually raised MORE money than the Yes crowd and STILL lost.

The Church didn't give a penny to the campaign. Church leaders did encourage members to support it, which is their right both morally and legally.

"Separation of church and state" works BOTH ways. In this case, religious institutions are ALSO protected from being infringed upon by both government policy AND the sheeple who blindly follow the pied pipers that decided to scapegoat the Church after they lost.

  • And how much money did George Soros donate?

  • Irrelevant with regard to the point about LDS influence and money on helping Prop 8 to pass.
