The "truth" and details of the tragedies of history are just far too complicated to pin-point, even now. When I first began following Roy, it almost felt like being star struck, and I began to idolize her. I believe this emotional reaction is due to the fact that I have been starved by my government and media of these types of observations. Personally, I stopped being blown away by what she was saying and started listening, and thinking about it and being aware of it and continuing that trend.

Well, why do you think Christopher Columbus is so revered in America? Look what he did for Spain -- "discovered" foreign lands, where he forced them to give them all their gold. His cruelty is legend, used to intimidate the natives.
