well usually they only put enough memory into shuffles so that you have your favorites and some workout songs.

VoiceOver can scroll thru your playlists pretty fast. I have 12 on mine and it takes 8 seconds tops for it to speak all of them, and you dont have to have your hand on the button until you hear the list you want.

The only good thing about it is the playlist management, I really wanted that. Im happy with this shuffle, it makes me avoid buying a nano or a crappy ass ipod touch.

I like it better because you dont have to worry about taking it o ut of your pocket to go to the next song or anything. the controls are all on the headphones.

same here, its great for anyone moving around a lot. i mow lawns and i actually dropped a cheap mp3 player and the mower ate it. the clipper solves that, along with the earbud controls.

the other shuffle was absolutely tiny on memory. most ppl have more than 1 gig of music.

the other shuffle was bigger in size. they could easily of put 6 on that. i mean look at the 4 gig micro sd

the memory isn't the problem. the problem is getting all of those processors to translate the memory and when i broke one of the older shuffles apart there was some really complicated electronics inside. i commend apple for making it so compact. it was a difficult job for their engineers.

p.s. it has a battery too.

yes i know about the battery but you stated that this one has more memory then the other and people have more music then that. i was merely stating that this new one is actually smaller, and i feel that this design is a down grade and the other was better.g4 and tech nation say the same thing
