Hey Amy...Great Job... I've approached this song a few times with tab....But my head get all muddled with it... You video tutorial on Vanderbillydotcom was excellent... Playing it to my hearts content now.. Thanks
Hello Amy. Since you are the youtube expert on Bron Yr Aur I was hoping you would watch my version and give me a pointer on how to improve the slide section. You really capture that "broom" sound on the slide.Just beautiful. What notes are you picking exactly as you enter the slide? Is the way I am fingering it the problem? Any advice on that part or any other section I would really appreciate, not many people can play it like you do. I am determined to get it right someday! Thanks.
@solidbrownrecords thanks Donovan! Yeah, always loved this tune; it really resonates. Jimmy Page and all the boys have been the sound-track to my life; I love Led Zeppelin, so much.
Amy, that's an awesome site you gave me. Thank You so much :) I saw Led Zeppelin in Indianapolis Indiana in 1977 when I was 15 years old and it was the best concert I have ever been to. The ticket was embossed "which was unusual back then" and said "An Evening With Led Zeppelin" and it was, as there were no "warm up" bands. The concert was around three hours long if I recall correctly :) Thanks Again, Adam :)

That was just,... awesome! Very nice touch, beautiful feel and tone throughout. I thought some parts were even better than Jimmy (sacrilegious, I know). Since I'm a total hack on a guitar, I'll leave off any minor critique, but when I do finally learn this song (and maybe start sharing my humble attempts on Youtube) this video will have been a major stepping stone for me. Bravo, Amy! Thank you!
hi Caintapi! As stated in the song description, the guitar was pre-recorded by me on the Martin. shortly after recording it, I injured my hand badly, so to make the video I played softly along on my classical guitar to the backing track.
Wow - I love this song. It just talks to you. You played it so nice. Thanks for sending all those vids. I will have to check them all out. Your a fantastic musician. I hope 2010 is a productive year for you. Happy New Year.
This instrumental piece was written by Jimmy Page. Bron-yr-Aur (pronounced "Bron-rar") is a place in Wales where Page and Plant went to relax after they completed a long tour of the USA. Page wrote the piece and it was recorded in 1970 at the Led Zeppelin III sessions.
You play it with such nice feeling!, wish I could do that, I can do that sometimes, but usually get quite tense towards the end. I posted a video response, hope you like it.
Hi Amy, Stupendous COVER of a guitarist that I love belonging to the great history of a great Group as Led Zeppelin!!Compliments!!!55555555555 * a super hi from Italy and from Pino
Wow, great playing Amy, flawless! Adding this to my favorites... Led Zeppelin is also one if my all time favorite bands and I play guitar because of Jimmy Page. Jimmy Page is the nickname I was given in high school.
Wow another one of Amy's great led zeppelin covers, like there are no others. It is so refreshing to not only see a great female fan of such an incredible band, but also one that can do such refreshing acoustic versions of the timeless musical genius known as Led Zeppelin.

hi Caintapi! As stated in the song description, the guitar was pre-recorded by me on the Martin. shortly after recording it, I injured my hand badly, so to make the video I played softly along on my classical guitar to the backing track.

i once tried to learn this, but i had to stop because my strings kept getting ruined when i put them in the nonstandard tuning.

sometimes I just leave a guitar in a certain tuning for a while and then it gets used to that tension and holds better.
thanks for dropping by,
Amy

Wow, love your tone Amy!
Amy do you use open C tuning in your version?

You play it with such nice feeling!, wish I could do that, I can do that sometimes, but usually get quite tense towards the end. I posted a video response, hope you like it.

Wow, great playing Amy, flawless! Adding this to my favorites... Led Zeppelin is also one if my all time favorite bands and I play guitar because of Jimmy Page. Jimmy Page is the nickname I was given in high school.

Perfection as always, Amy! Beautiful. The "confusion" on crippeto's part only confirms that!

Wow another one of Amy's great led zeppelin covers, like there are no others. It is so refreshing to not only see a great female fan of such an incredible band, but also one that can do such refreshing acoustic versions of the timeless musical genius known as Led Zeppelin.
