I'm sorry but vocally this guy isn't anything special - especially when compared to a singer like Bonnie Raitt. His range is limited and he squeezes the sound through the throat giving it a forced quality that is almost cringeworthy. Listen to Bonnie in comparison...her vocalizations are smooth as silk and she has great emotional resonance without straining. The piano section is really nice though.

However if you look to the songs he recorded under his own name he sings normally. In my opinion they sound pretty good better than when he sings in falcetto.
