Wow! Talk about memories. I'm 10 years old again. Sitting on the floor in front of our 19 inch Hitachi color tv. My grandmother always got to sit on the one chair in our living room. Good times. Do you think I could get this as a ring tone?
@bknyspirit i did make it my ringtone!! i just camera phone video taped it from here, and....ringtone! BUT, it makes me not wanna answer calls, just so i can hear it loop over and over. WARNING: youll get lots of odd stares from people on the train - or anywhere!! gotta throw this in...ahhh, the GOOD OL DAYS!

I wish I was born in the late 70's-early 80's. my parents missed those days. when tv was the best!!!! after 1995 tv began to SUCK!!!!! especially when wb11 aired. Now tv is mindless cacophony!!!!!!
Its amazing how that little jingle brings back such fond nostalgic memories of me as a kid (I was 13 in 1982) in Brooklyn, NY sitting in front of the living room 25 inch tv (the only tv we had in the house, unlike today where people practically have a tv in each and every room) watching my favorite movies, classic tv shows, and cartoons. No cable tv back then either. Just the good old rabbit eared antenna. And in those days you really had a variety of good stuff to watch.
@Nicholas197813 It still is. WPIX (PIX 11) decided to use that moniker simply because WXIA HD was among the popular station down in Atlanta. Both WXIA and WPIX started using the slogan around September 1976.
@classicphile Amen Brother Amen. The Kids of Today will NEVER know the quality of TV we had and also the fact they'd end their BROADCASTING day something unheard of today. Man I miss those days.
@classicphile wow I was living in Brooklyn at that time too from 1979-1984...I was 8 years old in 1982. But I remember that same kind of nostalgia...we had REAL programs in those GREAT old days :)
Wow ! the memories... kids today don't understand what t.v. was like back in the day... :) thanks !

Yeah back then Tv programs werent laced or overlaped with station ID or some promo during a program.....I hate that stuff....its overkill with ads.

@bloodymeerkat78 The independent channels were always the best one. Classic WPIX, WWOR, those were the days.
