The problem is too few have too much, and they take advantage. How about a tax on wealth! WE DON'T EVEN MEASURE WEALTH! Any tax of 10% or more above some reasonable number like 25 million. Within 20 years, you would have a very different society, even if you did nothing else. And there is a ton of other things that can be done. Money / wealth is power and it absolutely corrupts.

The concept of DIRECT DEMOCRACY is not new. The founders argued about this in the Federalist Papers. The concepts date back to Athenian democracy. If special interests are able to influence a mob decision then %51 of the people (or Congress) could vote you off your land or tax your income or deprive you of your rights. DD is mirrored in our partisan politics. The Founders where acutely aware of Schims in partisan models.

If we could directly vote America would be in much better shape. It'll never be perfect but it could be a whole lot better. Plus compared to most places Switzerland isn't a bad place to live.

If they are doing things on 90% vote then the Ron Paul / Alex Jones type supporters will be able to have a dramatic influence on the movement.
I understand the hesitation to embrace this movement but maybe this is what we have been waiting for, just that we might have to do some more work.
