when you update f/w the dvd key is already on the drive Jungle flasher picks it up. So yes you can update because the key is still on the drive.

thanks mate. i wasn't sure if it would work because i think thats how it works with the LiteOn. You would need the original key in order to update the firmware.

@llx2o1 yea man. As long as it is not a liteon...you can buy a flashed xbox and still be able to flash it... The key will always be on the drive and always be able to flash and update.......

As long as you do not buy a bricked xbox (bad flash) You will always have access to the dvd key on your own and not have to worry.
