Can u help me? I'm not a Nintendo person, but my son got a Wii for his bday. We've never owned a Nintendo console before, so no GC. He found SSBM on a site & begged me 2 buy it. It told me I needed a memory card, so I bought one. We have the black controller (Classic Controller Pro). As soon as I put the game in, the controller turns off. I can't choose to make a new game save. I'm stuck on that screen. How do u play this game on Wii? Help!

@TheNintendoCow Thank you for the response. I did finally figure that out about a week ago. (should have come back to say) But, yes, we did buy a wireless GameCube controller and it works great. Side-admission: When I first opened the GameCube game, I thought, 'Oh, crap! Look at this tiny disc!' I'd never seen a GameCube game before (always been a PlayStation gamer - and Atari in my childhood :-) ). I wasn't expecting that. But then I remembered, Duh, a disc is a disc to a player/console.
