Great advice at the beginning about how the 80's games were all about gameplay. It's a bummer to see 2 people I like on the other side of the fence about PC gaming :{ While, yes the initial cost is higher, I'll give you that. PC games are cheaper and if you play a lot you'll make up the differences quick. Also not having to buy Xbox Live and having a better quality experience is also worth it. Though, consoles have the benifit of just popping the game in and going too.

ah mike hates ps3! plus kinect dosent support voice control if you dont speak english, it dosent work if you sit down on a seat, it isnt good at locating legs in general...thats why it glitches up and goes akward it usually cause its not detecting the legs probably! kinect is flawed and only supports on rails gaming you'll love it taking control away from gamers so simple even grandma can play, microsoft said it not me \;P

Nothing wrong with consoles. They're cheaper (Even though the company LOSES money for each one they make/sell) and get the job done. But I can do a lot more with my PC than I can with my console, I can fix any problem myself, and I get the control scheme I like. I think its worth the extra 300 to build this rig. Its usually FPS, RTS, MMO, RPG (most anyway) I get for PC, and Driving, Platformer, fighting I get for console.

I can play any game for pc on my school laptop that isn't in any way geared towards gaming at mid to high graphics and have no lag... secondly xbox users may have to pay for live, but our live service is way more reliable and apparently way better than the ps3 online service ( according to third party reviews)... and thirdly i would still trade any wii game, for Halo or gears or mass effect any day...

PC's are the best for gaming what the guy said is not really true I can see how someone looking at "Enthusiast" gaming PC's can think they cost a lot more but really a high grade gaming PC can be made for the same price as a Xbox 360 Elite costs with all the accessories. Then you have a PC that can do much more than just play games at very high graphic detail and the games can be directly downloaded from programs like STEAM normally much cheaper.

@TokerMate lol, no you can't. You can make a pretty good PC with money u use on console but it won't run the newest games very smoothly or with high graphics. What the real downside of PC gaming is is that it is much harder for developers to maximize the engines because of the variety of systems they are run on. And even the games bit is not true. I just bought Mass Effect 2 online for my PS3 and it costed 18 euros where as PC version trough steam is 30 euros.

@2mad2behere I Can and 'Have' built a system quite recently that can run all of the games out today -including Crysis (still one of the hardest games to run) on High settings for the price of a console + accessories, My PC is a "Enthusiast" grade PC so it does cost allot more than you actually need to spend on a gaming PC. The games part is also true because Steam "Constantly" has sales hell.. they have even given away big titles like portal for free for up to a week at times.

@TokerMate So show me post links to site and show me the parts. PM me and prove it. And Crysis isn't hard to run I can run 3 in a windowed mode at the same time and I payed 700 dollars for my PC. Show me a PC built with 300 bucks that can run BFBC2 on high. And while you can sometimes get deals close to good from download services you will get games cheaper by buying hard copies online or from stores as they have more sales.

@2mad2behere Go to any PC enthusiast forum and ask for a Cheap PC that can run all of todays games, I don't need to bother you'll get like 10 responses from that alone. Saying Crysis is not hard to run shows me how little you know, I can run crysis on low settings on a laptop but on "Very High" with everything maxed out like AA and everything it is one of the hardest games to run at a STABLE FPS rate if your computer can even run it at those specs in the first place, also monitor size matters.

In conclusion PC is more powerful and better with for example FPS but I wouldn't play Batman arkham asylum on it. Consoles are easier and suit us who don't care to go trough a big fuss with gaming I mean lets face it because of the goddamn pirates PC gaming is more complicated and annoying than ever.
