Mostel is brilliant -- but that sketch on fear is slightly funny, slightly disturbing all at once. It seems to be a run-of-the-mill, albeit, superbly acted, piece on conquering fear -- like Madeline Khan and her tree-smashing troubles -- until the very end. What is that meant to convey? The last thing we discover is that...one is the very thought, the very product, of a fear's imagination? A fear within a fear, dream within a dream? Unsettling.
