As growing strong as the atheist movement appears to be on the Internet and in our country, it's refreshing to remember and hear this classic by WhiteHeart. It's also a nice reminder of the power and change that the Lord can bring about in anyone, even the hardest heart. I know, I was there and He broke through. All praise be to Christ my Savior!
After screaming the tenants of Nazism for the better part of a decade in half and i prayed for Jesus to help me pick up the pieces of my life...this is the song in encountered. Words can't express the magnitude of the gratuitousness to find this song at that time. Simply amazing...which is what God is.
Rick Florian is the BEST!!!,......he has the voice of a angel,.....such a gift,.....wish he was still singing these days,......I'm sure they would be able to mold a sound together for this day and age,....basically,the music is still there, not that out dated of a sound.
Billy Smiley, Mark Gersmehl, Chris McHugh, (Nemer I still love ya buddy) Gordon Kennedy, (miss you tons) Tommy Sims, (we had some good times.) Ric, i mean Rikk, or Riq. Rick however you're spelling it these days, just know you're one of the best. I miss the CCC days with all of you!
Wow, don't see how this was in the 'related' section of The Patriot by Holy Blood (unblack folk metal), but this song is really good. I'm usually not a fan of 'soft stuff' but this is really good. Reminds of my Mr. Big and their acoustic songs.
...break like the dawn...wow, you can't get any more poetic than that. Makes me cry out, Lord, if that is what it means to be broken, then break me like the dawn, too. What an encouragement to pray for those precious "hard nuts" in our lives. How He loves them so!
I am not related to Rick Florian other than as a Christian brother, but I do know he is originally from St. Joseph county in Indiana. More specifically, Walkerton and the South Bend area. He went to Taylor University and graduated in 1984. He is a great talent and I enjoyed watching Whiteheart when they would come back to Taylor in the late 80's. My son is now 11 and he is hooked on Whiteheart. There sound and message is timeless. Christ used their music to reveal Himself to me.
Did you happen to see them in 1992 in LaPorte. I wasnt alive but my grandma brought in to the Civic auditorium. I guess my dad had to do alot of running around for them. I still got the posters hanging in my basement.
RicK Florian's voice is second to none! I LOVE Whiteheart. I saw them in concert in Cambridge Ontario, Canada. Rick was sick with a stomach virus. He was singing on stage and had to leave to throw up. Then he came right back on and kept singing. Now THAT'S dedication!
Whiteheart were one of the very best Christian Rock Bands ever!! They could certainly hold their own against 90% of the bands out there. Top, top musicians have passed through it's ranks, and gone on to leave their legacy for us. Dann Huff, Gordon Kennedy, Tommy Simms, Brian Wooton. Man, EVERY line up RAWKED!! Thanks for posting. K.
i have that video taped on vhs, i did it back in the nineties we had a huge parabolic antenna and one day i found the z music chanel while moving the antenna, i miss z music, here in mexico there aren't many options for christian music tv :(
Yeah I love this band. I didn't start listening to them till the 2nd or 3rd album came out. i was introduced to them while at a church camp. And now at the age of 38 I'm still looking for their albums to replace what I lost well over 10 yrs. ago. I have the 2 greatest hits the did though.
Anyone can look that up on the internet dude, you just need to go to Wikipedia. He's selling Real Estate. I'm not related to him and I know this. You can't use that question as proof whydropthis is his neice/nephew!
Lucky you! Are you following in his footsteps? I don't suppose you could talk him in to taking a break from real estate for a while.....It would be nice to see White Heart again
It unfortunarely went off the air but, if you have Dish Network you can get TVU on Sky Angel. You need to point a single dish to 61.5 degrees & subscribe to them through skyangel dot com. You can find all the information there as well as at tvulive dot com. Awesome Channel \m/
Whoever is putting this Whiteheart stuff on you tube - please let's have some more! They were definitely one of the most under acknowleged bands ever.
